Love this place it has a lovely laid back vibe and is abundant with inpendant shops, plenty of food, and drink options for a huge variety of people. It has that village feeling that made me feel at home straight away. The castle is a must to visit and photo op!! Then there is the beach talk about a bonus. Walking along this beach instantly throws into holiday mode it is lovely, and you don't have to walk on the sand because there is a pavement running alongside the beach. Then, after a short walk, there is a wonder little cafe that makes a mean latte extra shot coffee again fully accessible There you can sit and...

Always clean, sometimes busy, the Ferry esplanade is a great beach spot along the Tay for catching sun, building sandcastles, walks and dolphin spotting. There's usually a coffee van, there's public toilets in the castle green play park and there's the harbour and castle to explore. The community here are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. If we all work to keep the litter down and the dog muck picked up, we can protect our natural beauty spot for everyone to enjoy. Great for all ages and many wheelchair...

They don't allow dogs on the beach. They don't even allow dogs outside of the castle. Thinking I'll just go to the park with my dog then? Don't bother they don't allow them there either. I tried to walk through the park on the path which would've took 30 seconds, and there was someone on me in 2 seconds shouting about how dogs weren't allowed in there. I get a feeling they don't like dogs very much in...

Absolutely stunning, clean and tidy beach. This place is quite near from Dundee City Centre. You can come here by 5 or 5a bus, also you can take a two way ticket which will cost you cheaper (one side is £2.35; both side is 4£) The beach is lovely joined at the corner with the Broughty Castle which also amazing. A very nice spot for a one day tour.

A really nice beach to visit during summer. Has cute cafés nearby and a park for children to play in. Dogs are usually not allowed into the beach but can depend during different times. Jet skis and other boat rentals are available. The castle nearby is free to enter and a really picturesque spot!
