I was last here with a friend a few months back. Waitresses came round and informed diners they would need to pay by cash only as the card reader was down. It was my friend's turn to pay but he only had credit cards and no cash at all, luckily, I found a £20 note in my wallet and offered to pay on this occasion. I approached the owner asked for the bill, he said it was £20 + 70 pence, I explained I only had £20 on me but would get the 70 pence to him to which he replied in an abrupt manner 'WHEN' I repeated I would get the 70 pence to him, this time he replied (more aggressively) 'but when, I need to know so I can balance the till'. This made me feel humiliated & very embarrassed especially as there was a group of people standing there waiting to get in. Prior to then, I had been a frequent visitor along with friends colleagues and sometimes family but have not darkened his doorstep since and have no intention of ever doing so again. This rude individual allegedly operates in the hospitality sector but there was nothing hospitable about his behaviour on that occasion,
to the owner at Gracie's I can assure you there is no mistake on my part. events stated in my review are 100% accurate and not embellished in any way.
How it ended was, I stayed behind whilst John my friend and fellow diner dashed out to get some cash and ensured you got the 70 pence you were making such a song & dance about, then we both left your premises feeling disgusted with your behaviour and vowing never to return - we...
Read moreVisited Gracie's on 25.10.20 at around 1:30pm. My partner and I ordered lentil soup for starters. For mains I had Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado and my partner ordered burrito. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly well presented. We eat out a lot but very few other places can match that experience, it was a pleasant surprise. I don't know who works in that kitchen but they seem to know very well what they are doing. The waitress was also really helpful. Generally when you need something waitresses tend to avoid making eye contact. At Gracie's young waitress with round glasses every now and then was walking past the tables making sure that all customers are happy and have everything they need. We polished everything off with a banana milkshake which was spot on. I don't remember the last time when I enjoyed a visit to a restaurant so much. Will definitely come back and bring more...

Updated review: March 2020. This place is now dog friendly so we popped in for breakfast 7 March 2020 with my wee dug. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've had in broughtyferry, we loved it, and we took our dog (phoned and confirmed first) but it's defo dog friendly. They brought out a bowl of water for my dog and made us feel welcome. So this place has gotten even better for us. It's great to find a place we can visit with our wee...
