Greggs — Restaurant in Scotland

Redeemed free reward coffee, asked for large cappuccino and was told 'you can only have a regular' ... said ok. Later checked T&C's and it states "Your free hot drink can be redeemed as any hot drink in any size" ... pointed this out to member of staff, not as a complaint but to inform for next time, reaction was extremely defensive 'well you will still have to pay extra for the large drink' ...

Couple of minutes 'debate' and still no acknowledgement that she might actually be wrong or just not aware of the deal.

Went to sit down and have a sip of my regular cappuccino to be told 'you can't sit as we are about to close'. This was 5.10 and they close at 5.30pm.

I understand that shop staff don't get paid much and probably have to put up with all sorts of cr*p from folk, but felt this was out of order. Not a great advert for Greggs or perhaps a reflection on poor staff training within...

I like greggs, the food is simple, quick and tasty. There is hot food such as pizza, pastry, pies, cold food such as salad, wraps, sandwiches, hot& cold drinks, meal deals & sit in or takeaway. They do add on a little charge if you sit in due to limited availability. They also have cakes, pastries, biscuits. It's gd for a quick bite, snack, sit alone or with someone. One draw back is there are no toilet facilities in greggs, so if you find yourself needing to go, then you'll need to go elsewhere. I usually go for a quick bite or sit in with a coffee. The staff are very friendly. And the veggie options are always delicious. Today, I bought a tea, orange juice, and an iced finger. I went to the tables, stumbled, and dropped my iced finger on the floor - icing side down. (I'm very pregnant at the moment and trip up all the time). The staff replaced the iced finger free of charge. They were really nice...
