Went here Saturday lunchtime with my mum and my small child. When we arrived it was early afternoon. There was myself, my mum and my daughter. Apart from that there was 2 other couples - one with a child so all together in the whole restaurant there was 8 of us. We asked to be seated next to the play area for my daughter and we were met with a stinking attitude from who I assume is the manager? telling us all the tables were fully booked bar one right at the front door. We took a seat where we were told and my mum went for a walk about to see what the situation with the play area was. Again I will reiterate there was 8 of us in the restaurant but yous were “fully booked.” My mum asked if we could be moved to a table next to the play area - as every single of them were empty - so my child could play and could be supervised whilst not being miles away from the table. We were met with an absolute disgustingly stinking attitude and then told “no we are completely fully booked” we were only planning on being there for a short length of time and again the place was absolutely dead. You’re not telling me you had 20/30 people coming in for lunch with reserved tables with how dead the place was. We then just sat at the front door at the “only table they had free” We ordered some drinks whilst we waited on a member of staff bringing the menus over and could see pointing and looks being drawn to our table by staff members at the bar. Then my daughter needed the bathroom so I took her into the ladies to be met with 2/3 locked doors - can’t quite remember if there was 3/4 toilets and the only toilet that was available was piled up with faeces and toilet roll. I then went to tell a member of staff who couldn’t have cared less. I then asked for the key to the disabled toilet and was met with an attitude - like it was an unthinkable task to go and get a key so I can take my child to the toilet. After all of this happening we decided that we wouldn’t be eating here as the staff and the environment was disgustingly unwelcoming. We then mentioned when the staff member came over that we wouldn’t be eating here and we would like the bill for the drinks. Again standing at the bar 3 members of staff all standing pointing and staring at our table, hands over mouths gossiping and whispering. We will never be stepping foot in this place again and would like to let other people know how shocking and disgusting the staff...

We arrived at 5.15pm on Mothering Sunday. The manager showed us to our table. First problem came, when I booked I informed that we had a disabled person with us, our table was down the steps. I informed the manger, his response was “did you book online, that doesn’t inform us about disabilities”. My daughter helped my mother down the steps.
At our table, the manger informed us who our waitress would be and that there was no fish as the fryer had blown up and no steak pie. We only had knives and napkins on our table. The manager said that someone would bring over folks.
We commenced to look through the menu. The waitress came over and took our drinks order. When she came back to take our food order; issue 2 started. We proceeded to order our food. Camembert for starter, sorry we don’t have any. 8oz rump steak for main, sorry we don’t have that. Asked the waitress to give us a couple more minutes to choose.
She returned to commence with our order. Steak sandwich? No, we use the 8oz rump steak for that. I then said “what don’t you have so we can choose something that is available”. We finally ordered our meals.
Forty five minutes went by. Husband went to the bar to get more drinks. 5 minutes later the barman came over and apologised he had given us a coke instead of a Diet Coke. He took the coke back to the bar and to get me a Diet Coke.
The manager seated a family next to us at their table at this time, he told them that there was a 45 minute wait for food. Which we wasn’t told about any time delay with the food.
An hour at past. People who arrived the same time as us had walked out. No drink returned to the table. We decided that we had had enough. I then called the manager to the table. Told him everything that has happened and that we wasn’t happy with the lack of communication between staff and customers; the waitress not checking in on us or asking if we needed anything else/drinks etc. The manager said that he would cancel our order.
Very disappointing experience. We will not be returning to Home...
Read moreI had phoned to make a reservation for dinner with my partner for the weekend, as I was wanting to eat their TOMAHAWK STEAK. They took my details and I had asked if they had the TOMAHAWK STEAKS available, the gentleman had said "yes", so I said that I'd be wanting for the weekend, and could they keep one back just in case, the reply was " I'll let the kitchen know and leave a message", sounds great, perfect!
We arrived on time for our dinner and was seated by the manager or supervisor, after a few minutes we were ready to order and the waitress took our order.. garlic mushrooms for starters (to share), katsu curry and the tomahawk steak for mains, and was advised that the tomahawk steak would take 30-40 minutes to cook, which i knew would, so that was fine..
3 minutes later the manager/supervisor came over and said "I'm sorry we've sold out all our tomahawk steaks".. well with that, I was shocked and couldn't believe it, let down and heart-broken.
The manager/supervisor asked if there was anything else I wanted, and decided to go for a rib-eye (medium-rare).. this then turns up for our main course, and they had forgotten the peppercorn sauce & the dish of grilled mushrooms. I cut into the steak and immediately noticed that this was RARE, and not what I had ordered.. talk about a slap in the face!! You might of just put a raw piece of meat on my plate, and served me that.. I asked them to take that away, which they did and was then asked again if I'd like something else, I said "no" and the manager said "please let us redeem ourselves" 2 opportunities I think are more than enough, and still can't get it right.
This was the shambles, soul destroying and a night that me and my partner will never forget. Not sure if or when we'll be back, but it won't be...
