Booked as a large group of 14 to enjoy a family boxing day meal. That was as good as it got - the company we were with. The place was not full at all, yet they were turning people away. They were completely understaffed. Ordered jugs of water for the table at least 3 times, they didn't appear until we asked a forth time. Starters were missing or were served, but were not what was advertised on the festive boxing day menu. I ordered the cheesy garlic mushrooms, what arrived (10 minutes after the majority of other starters) was solid deep fried bullets in breadcrumbs with watery mushrooms inside. Utterly tasteless. What i was meant to have was cheesy garlic mushrooms with toast. Nobody came to ask if everything was ok, or even to clear the tables. We moved the plates ourselves onto another table. We had members of the party who were still waiting on their starter. The main was another saga because apparently the grill that cooks the steak was broken. This meant that they would have to fry the steaks instead (sounds simple), however we were informed that the steaks couldn't be cooked well done, meaning few changes to some of our parties orders. I ordered mine to be medium. When it did come it was missing items, I questioned the server who advised they would find out, they never came back. The steak was indeed cooked well done and not the medium I requested, it was Chuck and a poor cut of meat. On checking the menu I ordered from, my steak was meant to come with crumbled blue cheese, & onion rings. I had been looking forward to this. We had placed the orders around a month before. Majority of the party had carvery, the guy serving there was lovely & friendly, but could have done with more than one person helping out. Again nobody came to clear the tables, by this time I went to the bar to complain about the complete and utter disaster that everyone was experiencing. The manager who had been drafted in from the dunfermline chain was helpful. He explained that recently staff had left and they were doing their best to cover things. He apologised for the disorganisation. Dessert... I ordered a cheese board, again it came missing items that were advertised on the menu. What actually came was 3 slices of cheese that were brick hard, it was not fresh at all. Did not come with grapes, or butter (had to ask). I sent the chessboard back as it was pitiful and inedible. I changed to the chocolate roulade, which was equally as disgusting. It was dry, again I wonder how long it has been out for, or if it had been left over from a previous day. My child ordered a "fresh fruit salad" the only thing that was fresh about it was that it was fresh out the tin! This really annoyed me as why advertise fresh fruit and serve from a tin. We were not given spoons for our dessert, and had to ask for them, along with butter and knives for the cheeseboard. What we were handed was soup spoons! When we spoke to the manager again and asked if the staff members had been brought in for the day, he advised that they work there all the time. There is a complete lack of management and training. Staff should be taught the difference between soup spoon and dessert spoons, should know how to check if everything is ok with table, and really should know how to wait on a table. Considering the place was not really that busy they should have been able to handle it. We went to pay the bill but were informed that they would discount it so we wouldn't be due any more (We had paid a deposit already, and paid drinks as we ordered). We had such a poor experience, with this place. We know that we were not going to be getting top quality a'la carte dining, but it should have been 100% better than what we had. I feel that it was so poor we should have been given our deposit back too. Please sort out your staff training. Especially for the 'cooks ' in the kitchen too. I will include some photographs of what was advertised and what we received. Please feel free to contact me regarding this.

4.40🌟 Small carvery (but tasty), other food items are also available (have a look at the menu). It is clean and inviting, looks modern and not run down (for now). Check out the "Cowboy Burger", it's a meal for the whole day(at £10.99 ,, sorry the Onion Rings are extra £1.45). If you live in the area forget BK and the likes, save your money and go there. Staff is friendly and helpful, trying their best to accommodate the customer. One of those chain's, so you know what to expect..... actually a little bit better and to a reasonable price. There is a small playing area for the children and the carpark contains a Electric Car Charging Station ⚡🔌 Just a little hint>>a few of the tables could do with some deep cleaning, just a thought 👍🧽🧹🧼 Thanks again 👍

The staff are always so, so amazing. So friendly, helpful and welcoming. We bring our puppy to try and get her used to people as she is very timid and the staff couldn't be more welcoming to her either. The doggy station with water and biscuits etc is such a great idea - I wish more places did this. Such a simple thing to make people feel relaxed and wanted. The food we order for our puppy off the doggy menu always comes out cold as well - a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The food we order is always fab and the staff are always accommodating to my slight change request (beans instead of peas!). Genuinely - just a lovely place to visit.

Me and my partner came here randomly last week, and absolutely loved it, the menu is amazing so much choice, normally when we go out for lunch we pick something quite quick but we had to actually ask for more time to decide ! We shared a started of peri peri wings….WHAT IS THAT SAUCE MADE OF!! It’s amazing! I had a small plate carvery which was more than filling and I couldn’t even finish it! My partner had the mixed grill, we were both so full we couldn’t even fit in dessert… which meant we had to come back!! Today is my daughter’s 7th birthday (Eve) so we decided to come back with her and bring her auntie too… and oh my goodness it was amazing! My daughter had the garlic bread to start on the kids menu which she devoured in seconds and of course we had to get those peri peri wings again! I had the mac and cheese this time…. Amazing, stringy cheese, crispy onions, bbq sauce garlic bread and salad (the dressing was so good!) my partner got the tikka curry which he loved and his sister had the ULTIMATE. Chicken burger, … we were all full but couldn’t pass up the desserts again this time! I had wrote on my booking note that it was my daughters 7th birthday and when her dessert came out the chefs came out and sang happy birthday to her ! It was such a special moment what chefs ever want to come out from behind the scenes ?! Wow!!! My partner had the sticky toffee and his sister had the apple pie… both absolutely loved them all plates cleared ! Apart from the food here being amazing, the team made it a really special experience for my daughter! I think it’s the manager that was hosting today, he was there on our first visit too, and he is just wonderful, so happy, we could hear him making jokes with other tables in the restaurant as well as us, very attentive at all times making sure we had all we needed and made my daughter feel very special which meant a lot. So happy we have found a new fantastic place to eat out with so much more to try on our next visit ! There’s also an outdoor play area for little ones and lots of parking spaces, if you haven’t been here already, your missing out! Who doesn’t want a carvery every day of the week,?! They do deals throughout the week too. This is a long review and there’s so much more positive things I could say but it’s long enough! Get to spiral weave for not just food, but a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Spiral Weave, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish, particularly as we celebrated the Christmas season. The restaurant's festive atmosphere immediately put us in a holiday mood.

One of the standout features of our visit was the impeccable service we received, thanks in large part to Daniel, our server. From the moment we sat down, Daniel greeted us with a smile and made us feel instantly welcome. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal without ever hovering.

The carvery was another highlight of our visit. The selection of meats was outstanding, with a variety of perfectly prepared vegetables, all cooked to perfection.

What really stood out was the overall atmosphere of The Spiral Weave, which made it an ideal place for a Christmas celebration. The staff worked seamlessly together, ensuring that every guest felt special, and it was clear that they were dedicated to creating a warm and festive environment.

As the evening went on, it became evident that The Spiral Weave was the perfect place to enjoy great food and celebrate the holidays with family and friends. The combination of excellent service from Daniel, the top-notch carvery, and the wonderful Christmas atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for anyone looking to enjoy a special occasion or a Christmas meal in a welcoming, festive setting. If you’re lucky enough to have Daniel as your server, you’re in for a treat! His attention to detail and warmth truly added to the magic of the evening. I'll certainly be returning for another visit...
