Decent food. Decent prices. Slow inattentive yet friendly service. No alcohol license, but BYOB with corkage allowed. Starters of mince samosas and a prawn poori were average. mince lacked flavour and could have been warmer, but it was edible. Bread for poori was light, sweet sauce on the poori was the same sweet sauce on the chick peas that accompanied the samosas. Nice enough. Mains were much better and would entice us back. Lamb in my lamb achari was tender and tasty. The sauce had the perfect amount of lime pickle and garlic. The chicken chasni had heaps of tasty tender chicken in a sweet red sauce. Rice and naan were perfect. Server and cook/owner were very friendly, but not what I'm looking for in a restaurant. I want good speedy service. Took 20 minutes to get the bill then another 15 to take the money to pay it. I've learned that's life on Bute. Other restaurants are similar!

Great food but watch out for early closing. Two of us walked in at 2215 for a main course only sit down meal (having literally just passed the previous customers as they walked away after their meal) to be told it was takeaway only - the hours on Google are advertised as a 2300 finish. We were looking forward to a curry so decided to go ahead & order with the intention of finding a dry spot in town to eat the meal. We ordered the chicken tikka chamakchola which came with pilau rice & to be fair, it was very good - just a shame we couldn't dine in especially seeing as we'd eaten our food & got back to our hotel by 2300.

First time visit on this 3 day Bute trip. This is an intimate restaurant directly opposite the seafront gardens. We recd a lovely welcome from owner Mica.We had Cauliflower pakora starter followed by Lamb bhuna and chicken Masaledar. The meat and sauces were beautifully cooked, flavourful and tasty. The Paratha bread was also great with the piquant thick sauces. Prices were affordable. Thoroughly recommended, the restaurant is worth a visit for all indian food fans. You will not be disappointed.šŸ˜

0 for the service

We had horrible experience in the restaurant, it is our 1st visit to this place we ordered Rogan Josh and Punjabi veg curry chicken curry and many more dishes specifically asked to make it spicy and well cooked but the food was average with zero salt and spice. lamb was undercooked and bitter. Informed the waitress, she told us that she will inform the chef and replace it with no charge but we told politely we are done eating and asked for bill. Out of nowhere, the chef came and started screaming at us saying how can you complains about my food, everyone is eating, no one complained and you guys are always like this always complaining(thats our 1st visit) and started throwing chicken and lamb in our plates(I am a vegetarian was eating at that time.) saying its cooked well. When we tried to explain to him that meat is undercooked and bitter in taste he didn't understand the word bitter and what butter, better you don't know what's butter it is fat and blabbering and said you want food for free.

Paid around 80 pounds and...
