Our experience at this place for my daughters Birthday was a bad one. First off we were 24 minutes late in being seated baring in mind it was booked 2 weeks ago. When the food finely arrived 2 were Luke warm 3 were far too spicey this was said to the table server which obviously fell on deaf ears as nothing was done to offer other food to our party of 6. It was brought to the eatery's attention before we left and all that was said they "were very busy tonight" what had already been said about the wait for us being seated way past our booking time. The next day I proceeded to call the place and spoke with the manager Dan who was not in the least bit sympathetic he repeated 3 possibly 4 times about "being busy" and if the "complaint was made at the time something would have been done about it" well we did complain and also nearly full plates were taken away from the table which speaks volumes in any eatery, therefore what more did we have to do to get the complaint across about how awful our visit was to this eatery, that ain't all its cracked up to be.
Unless you want your evening spoiled like we experienced (which I hope not) complain individually and ask to speak to the manager 🙄 which I'm hoping you get a better outcome than we did.
Jam jar Unfortunately I had to give a reluctant one star but her is my own marking 0 won't be back...
Read moreVery disappointing Mother’s Day lunch at Jam Jar today. The table we only had for an hour, as pointed out curtly by the charmless waitress. We were a few minutes late due to parking issues, but ordered as soon as the waitress came to the table, at just after 12.10. When I asked for lentil soup and pasta, she made a face, again mentioned the 1hour slot, and said that it takes time to eat soup, and in her opinion we did not have time. So, 4 mains were ordered and we sat, and waited and waited, until 25 mins later, the food appeared. The dishes were mediocre, burgers and pasta both over cooked, however lit was the rude and unnecessary attitude of this waitress that has decided us to not return. Previous visits have been enjoyable, with good service, although the food is average, but now it seems that profit is being prioritised with hustling customers to eat and leave as quickly as possible, and cramming small booths uncomfortably full of customers as witnessed across the passage from us, where one poor soul was literally hanging off the edge of the banquette seat. There are plenty of other places to eat in Paisley where I would rather spend my money and...
Read moreThe food & cocktails as always were good, but the last couple of times we've been in we have felt very rushed and unable to enjoy the meal properly as a result. There were 5 of us booked for 5:30pm and even at the time of booking we were told the table must be back no later than 7. We didn't order starters which was just as well as we never actually got food until we'd been there an hour, the order wasn't taken until we'd been seated for 45 mins. Since the time before we were reminded that we had to give the table back a couple of times, we rushed our food and then it transpired while waiting on the bill, that the next booking had cancelled and they asked us if we wanted another round of cocktails. We had places to be so we declined, but yeah thankfully none of us wanted desert as we wouldn't have had time to eat it in normal circumstances. I think if there are only a couple of you it would be fine but if you're looking to chat and enjoy some food and cocktails as an experience/evening out its likely not the...
