Read moreIt's a shame. As we have been drinking in this bar for a number of years, and sadly, it is going to the dogs.
The downstairs gents toilet has had a leaking urinal for weeks, no seat on the toilet pan and years of dust on the walls.
I do not go into a bar I order to shout at my friends. However, that is all we seem to do due to the music being so loud, and then the music stopped and football was showing on the TV at full volume. Sadly this is not a place to have a conversation.
We had to leave early because we were feeling cold. We were all sitting there chittering due to the doors being open. When I asked if they could close them, I was told that the bar staff were overheating (why not put fans above the bar area then). To that end, within 30 minutes the people on the next two tables and people standing at the bar area had all left, because of the cold draught coming through the doorway.
Still a good bar with a great atmosphere....

The barmaid said his pupils were dilated so she wouldn't serve him. My dad had a cataract operation this week and this is why his eyes don't look as they normally do. He tried to explain this but she wouldn't listen. This is highly likely to amount to disability discrimination under the Equality Act. Would she refuse to serve a blind person because their eyes aren't to her satisfaction? My dad was not drunk. He also has a walking stick and is suffering from cancer. He is allowed to have a few drinks on the odd occasion. He was out due to a special occasion and it was the first drink he has had in ages. Thanks for...
