james's — Restaurant in Scotland

This is a special little place built up over the years by James's hard work and kind dedication to his customers. Set in a lovely walking area, putting green and surrounding play park, this is the perfect place to stop and meet friends or refresh after a walk along the beach. Not only is a selection of coffees, cakes and special seasonal hot drinks available but James's own Artisan icecream is just amazing in flavours that are out of this world. Also vegan options like the Buddha Bowls and hot soups. All to take away but many tables and chairs are provided for outdoors and in sheltered areas too. Lovely, local made ice creams and sorbets with different flavours available daily. The bubble waffles are delicious!

The newer savoury food options are also delicious, and just the ticket for an afternoon visit.

There are blankets available to keep you cosy if you're finding it a bit chilly out, and hot water bottles in the winter.

The cafe is child and dog friendly, so perfect for a family outing. There is also a play park directly beside it.

Staff in general are really lovely and friendly.

The only downside is that there can sometimes be a rather long wait. Totally understandable when it's busy, but not so great when it happens during...

Another visit for an afternoon snack after a long journey. Arrived 3pm and waited 15 mi utes to get served....queue was about 15 people.

Chose bubble waffle with ice cream, banana and chocolate sauce. Amazing but very messy to eat as served in a cone , looks pretty but difficult to negotiate!

Great little place for bakes and ice cream. Huge range of unusual flavours....try the toffee crisp ..yum. comfy little shelter adjacent to eat / drink in the shade. Great service despite sometimes huge queue s...we were lucky and got there in a lull...
