Like most KFC's, it's either really good, or really bad. Went with my Mum a while back and it was very bad: It took them more than five minutes just to take our order, despite it being empty. I noticed there was a portion of fries sitting at room temperature on the pass from the moment I went to the counter to order, to the 5+ minutes it took them to take the order. Another 10 minutes passed until we were given our order with THOSE fries. I actually had to say to the woman serving and to her credit, she apologised and got fresh ones made. So, we sat down to eat while we waited on our fries. My Mum noticed that her chicken wrap was stone cold. It was meant to be toasted, but clearly wasn't. I took it up to the counter and explained and again, the woman serving was great and said she'd sort it out. She went to the back and a minute later another woman came storming out in a huff and tried to argue with me, saying it was meant to be like that. I said: "What....cold ?". I then explained that I actually work in a restaurant and know that a toasted wrap should at least be warm on the outside, not just a cold, raw tortilla. She conceded, then stormed back in to the kitchen and made a fresh one that was actually toasted. My food was average and the fresh fries we got were fine, but I couldn't believe the audacity of the woman to storm out and basically tell me I was talking nonsense. Read moreI don't get a KFC from here very often and on Sat night at 9:15 pm it reminded me why. I ordered a 6 piece bucket. Chicken was dry, and over cooked and the gravy was cold but that's not the real issue here. Maybe KFC should've spent the money on motivating the staff instead of the recent refurb at Alloa? I turned up at the drive through and the place looked deserted (on a sat night!!!) checked in via the app then waited at the window for nearly 10 mins, tooted my horn and everything not a sole in sight. I then noticed a worker in the foyer so parked up and tried the door expecting it to be shut, it wasn't. I asked if they were open? He had earbuds in and couldn't hear me but then said yes they were open I explained that I had ordered over the app he said no problem and got my food which was sub standard to say the least. I then went across the road to collect a Mcdonalds which I had also ordered on their app and the experience couldn't of been more different. I don't know what the issue is with Alloa KFC but sadly the staff don't care and have no interest in having pride in their job or workplace. Was blaming customer for his staff mistakes, they think they are perfect, that's the first sign of failure in a retail environment as they will never be able to improve with that attitude. Seen staff touching bins and handling food without cleaning hands between. Drive through always takes really long (not fast food at all) and the speaker system never works. Never get napkins let alone any sauce even if the meal states it comes with sauce. Several times received food in the wrong packaging, never once have I had hot chips from his branch, they always serve cold. Disappointing. Seems other reviews are echoing the same problems.
