The girls & I lunch here every week, its a tiny little place but very warm, cosy and relaxing. You can have a delicious plate of pasta or a fabulous pizza or go for a nice homemade sandwich or baked potato. Believe me when your having some nice home cooked food along with a nice glass of cold wine and a wee bit of Italian music in the background and great service thrown in too you cant enjoy a better day! We love this place, my hubby and I also visit in the evenings. Very laid back little place, the food is awesome, its not your microwaved rubbish you get in most Italian restaurants, and the place has great character too.We have tried other Italian restaurants locally, none are a match to here. Most other Italians in Paisley that we have visited seem to be canteen type restaurants selling cheap microwaved food, they really are kidding themselves on. La Dolce Vita is your typical Italian Restaurant that you would find in the back streets of Rome or along the River in Tuscany. Authenticity & superb food. These guys are good! Well...
Read moreI wouldn't say don't try this place, but however my love for Italian food and i have to say i was very disappointed with this place. The place is very rural and kept with the Italian feel which was nice. But i have never known Italian restaurants to use paprika in everything and on the edge of your plate. I got bruschetta which i get all the time when at any Italian restaurants and was shocked with the amount of oil brushed on to the bread, the bread was not proper Italian bread but a slice of bread out your supermarket packet. As for the carbonara i recognised the taste from anywhere. It was your packet of carbonara (Schwartz) I know for a fact because i uses to buy it. Also it was suppose to be an Italian run restaurant but the person serving was Spanish... The food was a total let down and did not bursting in great Italian flavours but taste more like your average supermarket food. Will never go back but as i always say people have different views on how they like something or not. Go and decide...
Read moreWalked by this place hundreds of times over the years and over looked it. Took my grandson in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We were a little early for opening time but the staff let us in anyway and took us straight to a table. While they were setting up they still sat us at a table and proceeded to serve our drinks while looking over our menu. I must say the meals were lovely and good size portions. We both enjoyed them. The staff was friendly and even interacted with us both. Even though we spent the best part of 2 hours there they made our dessert to go. I’ve been back since my first time and my experience hasn’t change from my first visit. I would highly recommend that whoever reads this should pop in and give this restaurant a try I’m sure you would enjoy it as much as I have. I have been back since with different company and they...
