I would like give 5 star but wish the owner and other customer can read about it. Food drinks was beautiful staff friendly enough. However, I ordered drinks and a scone and sandwich in the morning for quick eat( I am sure scone are premade , sandwich wonât take one hour) unfortunately i need wait around one hour for this,so I ask the staff about the food, they give me straight away which is feeling unfair for wait for such long. I totally understand the busy morning but If I am not ask it could be waiting longer. ( I actually ask for the food not owner mentioned didnât spoke to someone only review) if be more organised and it will be prefect little cafe for local , I am sure I am allow for comments even this is just advice ! I see other people comments the waiting time as well. But of course like go back...
Read moreLavender Coffee & Crumbs is amazing and such a welcome addition to Dalkeithâs High Street.
The food here is exceptional, using really good quality ingredients and made with such care. The taste and presentation is of a really high level and I cannot recommend it enough.
Another thing that is really important to me is good quality coffee and Lavender Cafe also gets this spot on.
Kasia lady who owns and runs this cafe is also really friendly and talks passionately about the food, drinks and service she provides, often explaining how she has made improvements and additions to what is on offer.
If youâre local and looking for somewhere to have a great tea/coffee, lovely food and friendly service then look no further and go and visit.
I hope more places like this open in Dalkeith and make Dalkeith the town...
Read moreLovely little cafe! Bright, spacious, and clean. Staff were polite and attentive. Vegan-friendly and baby/buggy friendly too (there is just one step to get in through the front door) and a couple of high chairs available for use. Veggie options can be made vegan with vegan butter and cheese. There is also always 1 or 2 vegan cakes available. And oat milk for drinks. I had an iced oat latte which was delicious and served in a glass with a paper straw, and a toasted ciabatta. I had to feed my baby after this and the lovely staff offered me some water while I was breast-feeding which was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. There is one unisex disabled toilet with a baby changing station - immaculately clean. Will definitely be back...
