Placed an order via Just Eat and was told delivery would be between 19:30 & 19:50

At 20:07 I phoned the takeaway to see where food was. I was then told that it had been delivered. I opened my back door to find the food sitting on my doorstep in the freezing cold.

The driver did not chap the door. There was 5 of us in waiting on it arriving and we have 2 dogs go bark as soon as anyone comes near the house never mind chap the door.

Told the girl the food was freezing cold as it had obviously sat on the doorstep for a while. She said they could collect it and send a fresh order but there would be a further 45min wait.

So the driver leaves the food on the doorstep without chapping the door, in the freezing cold and I've to wait a further 45mins on top of what I'd already waited!

Told her that was not acceptable and asked for a refund. I was told I would need to request this at my end as I'd used Just Eat.

Requested the refund for the order that cost me £19.60 and was given a refund of £5.64 by Just Eat.

£5.64 for an order that had to go in the bin!

We would usually use emmanuels in st.leonards but as it was shut we decided to try here. We called the order through and still had to wait 5 minutes for the food to be ready which really isn't a problem at all. I'd usually prefer this because it means the food is cooked to order. It took us approximately 7 minutes to get home and as soon as we opened the boxes we were disappointed. The food was luke warm at best even after only 7 minutes in a warm car. The chips looked anemic, undercooked and were just slopped into the boxes, it resembled mash more than chips, we had a decent sized order with 5 different main items and not one of them were hot/warm enough. The batter was hardened due to the length of time it had been sat wherever. The only saving grace was the curry sauce but when everything you have to dip into it is so bellow par it didn't really help. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive but unfortunately the food ruined our meal and we would never recommend or go back to this chippy. Very...

One of the worst experiences we have ever encountered in the food industry. After waiting 25 minutes for fish and seeing it be made and given to those who arrived after us, we made a complaint. This is also the second time we have had to wait this long. We asked for our money back as we did not want to wait even longer for our food that looked like it was never going to be ready. When speaking to the manager we were told to ‘calm down’ and ‘stop causing a scene’ which we were not doing we were making a simple complaint - that it was taking too long and the food that did appear was going to those served after us, or out for deliveries. We objected to making a scene to which the manager replied ‘you have got your money now get out I never want to see your face again piss off’.
