McDonald's — Restaurant in Scotland

So me and my husband decided to go out for a late night snack and fancied some macdonalds as a treat. We come from the eastend of Glasgow and thinking by coming to the partick branch would be cleaner and more better quality of food as we tucked in to our burgers and chips in the car park my husband pulled a long black hair from his burger 🤢 we are never the type to complain as everyone is human and these things can happen but we thought we would let them know so it won’t happen to someone else. we where then met with a manager I would say straight out of school and didn’t have much experience in being a responsible manager I didn’t feel he was really bothered by it and said can get you another one. As my husband was still hungry he accepted and my husband wanted to note that he wasn’t upset but the incident but just wanted to let them know about it. And again the boy just wasn’t that bothered as if this happens often. Although I know these things happen but as a manager I would be so apologetic and upset for the customers experience of the food that is being served at the restaurant...

Awful service. Only car in the drive through yet waited 20 minutes at the food window for food. Could constantly here the manager in the background screaming things like "what is going on?" and "wake up!". Clearly the entire staff was in disarray. The icing on the cake, however, was when our order arrived, we received no straws with our drinks (had to ask twice) and our order was completely wrong. Wrong wrap with wrong customisations. We asked if we could get some sweet chilli sauce, the supervisor told us it was 20p, we don't have cash on us and can't pay by card at that window. So we asked, to save us the hassle, of having to drive all the way around the drive through again, and to compensate for our wait, if we could just have it. We were met with a firm no and the supervisor started exclaiming "we're in a global pandemic, I can't be giving away sauces like that". I've been frequenting this canteen for around a year now, and 3 times out of 5 I will describe my meal as "ruined my mood", 1 time out of five as "edible, but that's it" and one time as "what I'm coming back for, but not 100%". For a chain that's built around consistency, you can rely on this franchise to be inconsistent. Will the fries be scalding hot yet soft or soggy, or crispy? Lightly undercooked or bitter with old oil? Will the patty be the only hot ingredient, or a pre-cooked one from the drawers? Will the bun be chewy and deflated or puffy but cold? Will there be drippings on the lid of your coffee? On the other hand, the bacon is reliably cold and tasting dated. Pair that with the flavour of cold beef fat in a grand big Mac bacon, and no amount of mustard sauce dripping on your hands will be able to mask the flavours.
