McDonald's — Restaurant in Scotland

I used the drive through and ordered a large bacon mc tasty meal. The assistant then asked me if it was a meal or on its own, what size and if it was plain or not. Evidently that assistant in particular had better things to do that day other than listen to the order the first time around. The burger itself was an absolute joke, saturated in sauce, less dripping everywhere, not even hot. As for the hot chocolate it was simply hot water. Perhaps a fault with the machine, who knows. There are most definitely other McDonalds restaurants that are run far better with competent staff who have standards. Clearly nobody could be bothered with work today. No point going back to ask for a replacement because if they’re not capable of doing it the first time why would I have confidence in them doing it right a second time? At the payment window I was asked if my order was correct on screen, obviously the screen is placed behind where the wing mirror is so you can’t see it. No idea which genius came up with that, perhaps move the screen to the other side of the window would be a better idea if anyone actually cares. Anyway in this case the screen was blank anyway, perhaps more a reflection of the absent minds of the staff rather...

I rarely leave reviews, but after multiple poor experiences with McDonald's Alloa, it's clear that the issues are consistent and need to be addressed.

Every single time we’ve ordered delivery, something is missing—whether it’s a burger, a portion of fries, sauces, or drinks. It’s not a one-off mistake; it’s a recurring problem that shows a serious lack of attention to detail and care for customers ordering via delivery platforms.

On top of that, the food arrives cold without fail. The fries are the worst offender—stale, limp, and tasting like they’ve been sitting out for hours, if not overnight. It’s unacceptable for a brand as big as McDonald's to deliver such poor quality, especially when people are paying full price and a delivery fee on top.

This isn’t about expecting gourmet food—it’s about expecting basic accuracy, freshness, and quality control, which this location is clearly failing to deliver. A serious overhaul is needed in both kitchen prep and order packing.
