This Mc D's seemed to be a popular spot to get some fast food. Either that or it's because everything else closes around 4pm and this place fills up, both the small parking lot and the drive-thru. The order boards inside were kinda working or not, it was a hit or miss on our visit. You just had to wait for a working one or go up to the counter and wait for an employee to take your order. The crew in the back were scrambling to get the orders out, it looked like controlled chaos. It seemed like they were trying to fill the food runners' orders before customers inside just to get them on their way. The order numbers on the screen would say ready to pick up, but it was still a few minutes being ready. I know, because my order sat on screen as ready for 20min as I watched other orders being filled. Maybe this was a bad time because it was busy, it was after 4pm after all. Anyhow, I like the fact that they have a nice selection on the menu to cater to everyone, even vegetarians and vegans. The on-screen menu, once working, has a great search feature, just hit what you're looking for and it shows you what is available. This system is not in my country or city yet, but I heard it's slowly being rolled out, it's a franchise/money thing. So after 20min+ we got our two McPlants, yes, that is what it's called, a vegan quarter-pounder I believe, two fries, and drinks. Figured we'd try it out since it's not available in my part of the country. Mc D's, you really need to put this item on all your menus because it's actually really good and it's a nice meat alternative. Once the food was ready, everything tasted like it should and that's a good thing coming from another country. I dinged a star or two because the inside needed cleaning, seats and tables had stuff on them and looked in disarray. One staff member was trying to clean, but most staff were in the back trying to get food out, so I get it. So, for us it was alright, I'd probably suggest getting here earlier or after the 4pm...
Read moreLike most people I love a big mac like it even better with warm chips 🍟 but that doesn't happen very often and why iam being charged 10 pence for a bag I don't need and don't want even when I say I don't need a bag when I get round to pay for my order I have noticed 10 pence extra has been added along with a paper bag that I didn't ask for in fact said I don't want but still 10 pence added so what I do now is make them take it off at the till they don't like that especially if it's someone who doesn't even know how to take it off then they have to go and get a manager which holds the que up do I care care not a jot and if you add up all those paper bags over 1 year it comes to over 45 pounds a year just in paper bags which by the way are recyclable ♻️ 100% so why iam being charged 10 pence and yes if you have done the maths I use macdonalds at least 3 times a day that's 30 pence a day just on paper bags that I don't want so come on macdonalds if I say I Don't want a paper bag and don't need a paper bag then please don't give me one cause its no worth 10 pence I know its a government thing but am still not paying 10 pence for a paper bag that's my winge for the day have...

Second visit 8/8/25, ok so when you read the earlier review you'll be wondering why I went back. It was so bad I had to check it again. They had changed.... the 'beef' in the double cheese burger was more like a cork beer mat that had been soaked in diluted beef stock this time... read on...
First visit 11 months earlier
Service was fast, but maybe because the food had been desiccating for sometime. Worst burgers and fries I've ever had from the chain. Fries were dry, the burgers were like sawdust previously dunked into an over diluted beef stock, moulded into a mac and cooked with a hair drier. The bacon was equally dry and crumbly, but it did have taste.... erm salty, does that count as a taste? Avoid this place. My son, a devoted carnivore sum it up as, 'the salad was the best bit'. The highlight? Driving away...
Oh and an after thought, the carpark was like an alternative reality Tardis. It was much smaller in the inside than...
