Pan and Plate — Restaurant in Scotland

We had an excellent meal at Pan and Plate on a recent trip back to Dumfries. First, they were incredibly helpful and responsive when I got in touch to ask about vegan options, and then when we had to change plans to visit as a couple on the Thursday rather than in a bigger group on the Friday, they were very accommodating. They provided a handwritten vegan menu on the evening, which was much appreciated.

The food was delicious. Between two of us, we had the wild mushroom risotto, hispy cabbage with romesco sauce, beef short-rib sliders, satay prawns, and skin on fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed full of flavour, the romesco and satay sauces were the best we've tasted. Service was friendly and the atmosphere lovely and relaxed. 10/10/2024-Thursday. My 1st time, my daughter & my son-in-law took my husband & I to this urban, new opening restaurant for family dinner. The food was sumptuous, with well-blended taste & unique presentations. Though the restaurant was super busy, the servers have managed very well with excellent services. Wow such a hidden gem this place is amazing talk about customer service we phoned to book and the gentleman on the phone was kind and considerate we were travelling through in bad weather and he was saying safe journey take your time we will hold your table. The food was to die for. My wife had the venison with blackberry's and I had the flat iron stake and not an smigin of fat, cooked to perfection and the sauce again was perfection.
