I personally loved the place and atmosphere. Was visiting Dumfries for the day and had a drink in here. The place is very small but there plenty of locals in. The girl behind the bar was at times pretty busy but she was friendly, she had to visit the cellar though about 4 times while we were there. Fantastic Friendly Pub with a very lovely atmosphere. The proprietor Les is a total delight along with her well chosen friendly and helpful staff. Music plays a large part in this delightful pub with life music some nights, DJ on at weekends and a great mix the rest of the week. Pets very welcome too. This is a friendly pub with helpful staff and serving possibly the best draught beer in Dumfries i.e. ABK helles which comes from a 700 year-old brewery in Bavaria.
