We had a party of 5, with a table booked for 4.15pm. We were advised at booking that the table was needed for 6.30pm, as this was more than enough time we went with it. Unfortunately the service was disgraceful, after seating we were given menus and asked for drinks and we gave our food order. From there it went down hill, 15 mins later later the drinks arrived. It took a further 20mins for 2 brucheta starters to arrive and our main meals were a full hour and 10mins from ordering. We were never asked if we would like more drinks and had to shout to a passing waitress to order as we were in a what I would call cupboard that only holds one table and recessed from main restaurant area. Food was OK although a bit pricey, we all ordered dessert but the sticky toffee pudding was not pleasant, like a steamed pudding from aldi which was very dry and the kick in the teeth is it is ÂŁ7.50! My nephew had the biscof cheesecake with pouring cream, it is tiny! I mean 2 spoons and it's gone (again ÂŁ7.50) the last resort was the cream supplied in a small jug was off and turned, the smell was horrible. We informed the staff to be told it was a fresh carton just opened, and the point is! We were then asked to vacate out take at 6.30 exactly even though we were not finished our meal, I explained we had waited 1 hour and 15 mins for the main to arrive and just told we were busy as an excuse and had to leave. If you are understaffed to deal with your covers you do not take walk in orders as it's obvious you can't cope leading to delays in serving seated customers. All in all I won't be back to this establishment as the whole visit was unpleasant and managment need to sort out...

We had an impromptu day on the island and got lucky with an outside table here in the early evening, enjoying the first warm night of summer. The food was absolutely delicious & the staff were so great.

When we got to the ferry it was a bit chilly & I realised I’d dropped my jumper & it was my favourite one. We didn’t have time to go back & I wasn’t sure if I dropped it in the restaurant. I called up & the guy asked everyone and checked by the table & said he could see one over the road on the beach wall. It was mine & he was going to keep hold of it for us to go back the next day. I had walked over to take some photos at the end of the meal so must have dropped it then!

About 10 minutes later, he called to say if we were still in Largz one of the members of staff was getting the last ferry over and could bring it. I was blown away.

We were due to drive back to Ramsgate the next day, so going to the island first was going to be tricky and so this absolutely made my day!

So much kindness and thought. I can’t thank you enough and hope to visit...

Arrived in this lovely “looking” cafe and was greeted by standing for over 10 mins before being seated or noticed by staff. Once sat down on a very dirty table we ordered very quickly. Sadly our food didn’t arrive as quickly as after a slow 50 minutes we were greeted with a fully loaded “quarter-pounder” burger which is thinner than McDonald’s and fully loaded with hair (none of the kitchen staff wearing hair nets). A chicken burger which was plain and borderline undercooked and chilly that looked like it came from a microwave served with shop bought nachos. All this food once tasted was burning hot even after 50 minute wait and burned many of our mouths causing us to not even be able too taste the food. Waiters were standing around on their phones and doing the minimum. If in the area I would definitely looking around a bit more before settling on...

Husband and I visited for dinner on an overnight to Millport. We had calamari(delicious, crunchy and fresh), spicy prawns in a crisp coating, seafood spaghetti which was so good my husband asked for bread to soak up the lovely sauce and thai fishcakes. The fishcakes could have had a bit more spice but portions were great and all very tasty. We finished with an apple based creme brulee and cheeseboard. The staff were lovely and we had a good chat with the lady owner originally from Yorkshire like my husband. Only when deciding to leave a review did I check out the others. I am unsure which café the reviewer Ciaran visited but it can't be this one!

A great cafe to relax and have coffee and tea. It is at a lovely location and the best thing is the service and very friendly staff. We stopped here to ask something and instantly loved it's cosy setup and decided to sit in. We ordered some hot beverages and chocolate fondant and we loved it. They have many gluten free desserts to choose from. Overall, we enjoyed it here and giving a deserving review. Thank you very much for making our day.
