Wednesday night dinner before a show at the Oran Mor, well first time here and won't be the last! Fab atmosphere, beautiful decor and right at the bottom of Byres Road, lovely outdoor seating with very large windows opening on to the street, wish the weather was suitable to sit out however given a lovely window seat and good for people watching up on the terrace Very warm welcome from staff, tables all set beautifully and felt relaxed straight away.

2 course itison deal with prosecco or beer, soft drink for 2.

We had starters and shared them chose arancini best ever tasted and deep fried lasagne bites! Wowsers! Delicious.

Mains I chose carbonara which showed £2 supplement turned out they don't charge supplements on deals!! Wow! This is a first and all restaurants should take note! The flavours were amazing although U did find it not as creamy as I like, told Robyn the waitress and she was so helpful offered another fresh dish etc then I said actually no I am happy to eat it as flavours good and didn't want to wait on another dish. She then offered me a complimentary drink as wasn't able to reduce bill as was a deal we had received as gift. I decided to take up offer of a beer for my hubby as I still had a drink left.

Hubby had the nduja pasta it was fantastic he said.

The service was fantastic could not fault it at all. I would mention next time I prefer my carbonara a bit creamier than the chef normally does and this would not be a problem.

Would like to thank staff particularly Robyn for excellent service.

Highly recommend this restaurant could be for casual dinner or special occasion

Ambience. 10 Food. 9 Service. 10 Value. 10 The deal was excellent value but I noticed the a la carte prices are...

We recently visited this restaurant and were initially very impressed. The reception was warm and welcoming, and the manager personally greeted us and made sure our seating preferences were accommodated, which we truly appreciated.

However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by poor service from our server. we were not approached to place our order until I had to call for attention. The server, a young man, did not welcome us and the service we received was not similar to people that arrived after us.

When we inquired about the daily special, we were told some options were no longer available. Strangely, we overheard the same server offering it to the table next to us—who arrived nearly an hour later.

At the end of the meal, we requested the check and waited patiently. Instead of attending to us, the server brought in a new table, took time discussing their order, and ignored our attempts to get his attention. Only after asking twice did he finally bring our check.

To add to the disappointment, the bill included a 10% service charge—which felt unjustified given the inattentive and dismissive service we received.

Overall, while the food, ambiance and managerial hospitality were commendable, the service from our server significantly detracted from...

I recently visited Santa Lucia Pasta on Byres Road and overall had a great experience with a few minor downsides.

The food was absolutely amazing – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put care into what they serve. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

However, there were a couple of things that took away from the overall experience. The manager, an Italian gentleman, came across as quite loud and not very polite towards the staff, which was uncomfortable to witness. It definitely affected the atmosphere a bit.

Also, while the food was worth the wait, the waiting time was a bit long, and one thing I really didn’t enjoy was the time pressure. We were told we had only 1 hour and 30 minutes at the table because they were expecting a lot of guests. It made the whole meal feel slightly rushed, which took away from the relaxed dining experience I was hoping for.

That said, I’d still recommend the place for the delicious food and great staff — just be aware of the time limit and possibly try to book a quieter slot if you want to enjoy your meal...

My new favourite Italian restaurant!!! Amazing service, great atmosphere, nice food! For starters, we really enjoyed the arancine alla norma, the filling is cheesy and just super tasty! Definitely recommend them 😋 The lasagna fritta is great very cheesy and had a slight crunch to it. For mains, the Modena pasta is amazing, the ox tail ragu goes perfectly with ribbon pasta. I love this pasta so much! 🧡 The pescara pasta has mackerel fillet on them, this one totally surprised us in a good way, very delicious also. For desserts, the pistachio tiramisu, OMG it’s just sooo creamy and the BEST tiramisu I’ve had so far, every mouthful just tastes so fantastic. The strawberry gelato is great too! The service here is so welcoming and lovely! Anderson was super friendly and helpful! The inside decor is really cute with the lemon tree. The portion is pretty decent and at a good price! There’s plenty of seatings inside. I cannot recommend this place enough, it’s perfect for date nights or with friends and family 😊

Totally stumbled upon this restaurant today when I went exploring for lunch options in the lower part of Byres road with my wife and the kids. We weren't really craving for anything in particular, simply walked past this and read the menu and decided that we'll try it out. The place was not jam packed but busy enough, and they were able to get us a table with a high chair within a few minutes. Staffs were friendly and there was a good number of them, never felt like we had to wait for more than a few minutes if we needed anything. Tap water came in a glass vessel that's shaped in a fish! Shared the lasagna fritter as starter, portion was not big but I'm glad I've tried as that was interesting. We had two pasta dishes for our main one with lamb shoulder and the other with mussels, both very reasonably priced and portioned. The one with mussels is paired with black ink spaghetti, which is worth mentioning, don't think I come across back ink spaghetti very often.

A welcome addition to the West End. Santa Lucia Pasta takes the humble, homely, comforting pasta dish to new levels. It’s the small touches really make this place feel special. Beautiful tableware and decor. A classy mezzanine level and professional, competent staff. It’s refined but still provides a relaxed and welcoming environment. Having been on several occasions the menu is robust in quality and portions. The starters are unusually for me the star of the show. Arancini and Lasagna Fritta are delightful. The mains are rich and decadent. For the price you pay its outstanding value. From the Deli to the Merchant City and now Byres Road Santa Lucia is setting the bar for Italian dining.
