Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I'm sharing this review to help others avoid the same mistake.

Hospitality: The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. There was no sense of customer service or basic courtesy.

Food Quality: The food was completely bland and lacked any real flavor. On top of that, the portion sizes were small, and the quality was poor.

Pricing: The prices are highly inflated for what you get. It's a complete rip-off.

Cleanliness: The entrance was dirty, especially the carpets, and the overall hygiene was questionable.

Important Note: Before visiting, I checked Google reviews and saw a lot of positive ratings. However, after my experience, it's clear many of those reviews are misleading. A large number of them are from “Local Guides,” which often indicates fake or incentivized reviews. Don't be fooled by the high rating — the reality is very different.

In summary, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Poor food, poor service, and misleading online ratings — it's best...

The entrance to this place is nothing short of grim - very dirty, and in need of urgent renovation. There were cables running across the floor - a trip hazard for anyone who wants to use the toilet.

The upstairs landing is being used to store onions and dry goods. It is high summer, therefore the sun has been belting through the window all day. The place doesn't smell great.

The reception area is cluttered and very grubby, too - everything needs a deep clean. The dining area itself looked okay to be fair.

The food was not good at all. I had a vegetable ceylon curry. The vegetables were diced up into really small pieces and had been cooked to the point of disintegration. I suspect they have chucked a handful of frozen vegetables into the sauce and called it a curry. The bombay potatoes were much the same. Everything was bland. The onion bhajis were incinerated and chewy.

I am so sad to see what used to be an excellent restaurant/takeaway go downhill like this. It is clear to me that the folks running this place have lost their love of cooking.

Very dissapointing.

With its tired decor and creaking chairs this place is in dire need of a make over. The service felt lack lustre and the manger gave the impression that he was doing us a favour by letting us eat there.

Although expensive, the food was your average run of the mill Indian cuisine with nothing special or outstanding with any of the dishes we tried. There was one thing that made the food different from all the other Indian restaurants I have eaten in, the lack of meat in them. Four tiny chunks of lamb! Yup, just four. I asked if this was normal and after counting those tiny lumps many, many times, the manager shrugged and said he would get more meat. 20 minutes later, after the rest of the dishes had gone cold, we were topped up with two more even smaller cubes. They even managed to get the drinks order wrong, bringing bottled beer to the table instead of draught. It wasn't even busy, only four tables had diners at them.

Overall a very dissapointing experience. I guess next year when we go round the NC500 we shall try the other Indian...
