Beautiful white sand beach with panoramic views of the North Sea, the cliff top next to the camp site offers a great viewpoint and can be access easily from the beach via the steps at the back of the promenade.

The landscape around the beach is wonderful and there’s plenty to see just behind the beach on the main road into the town. An absolute must see if you’re on the NC500 or even worth diverting to if you’re just in the area for...

A bit smelly to be honest. Seaweed or sewage not sure, nothing spectacular but at least they don’t commercialize the beachside with bars and such, purely residential. Thurso is struggling economically like so many coastal town that depend on tourism but it has so many beautiful buildings made of stone and I can see why the locals would respect...

Not the best weather when I was there in December, but I could see with the water and sand it would look great on a clear sunny day. What a beautiful beach, with views across to Scrabster. There is always something special to walk by the sea, watch and listen to the waves. Entrance to the beach was by a few steps at either end. The day I visited the beach was beautifully clean and the wind was quite strong. It really is a super location.
