Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

What went wrong guys? Both my partner and I shop at Tesco on a weekly basis and over the years have built up a great rapport with a good few of the staff who work there. Like many we also enjoy an occasional little treat having a coffee and odd meal in the cafe upstairs. Yesterday I suggested such a treat the night before and to have brunch prior to gathering our weekly shop there. We ordered one baked potato meal and a full breakfast with black pudding and two coffees. The baked potato meal was fine the all day breakfast was absolutely awful and should have never been served up at all.. The sausage was cooked so far back in time shriveled very hard and burnt in places yet still barely warm when reheated and served. I bounced my knife off the egg several times to show my partner. it was well overdone on par with Pirelli or Michelin products while partially cremated on the underside also. A vet could have brought the bacon back to life, the cool beans would be a great summer treat and the coffee barely warm which I understand is probably because of complying with certain health and safety issues. The chap who delivered the meals looked bored and must have been aware the standard was far from acceptable yet still put the plate on the table...I have some long term health issues and sending it back as my partner suggested would have triggered some so we left rather disappointed. In all the years I have used Tesco I have to say the quality of service and friendliness of the staff has been exceptional only let down by some products at times through no fault of their own. We will still continue to shop there as its a great store but have been put off in the occasional treat department. It was the worst breakfast/brunch served to me ever..... Standards need to be monitored closely and adhered too Please... Two loyal...
