Atmosphere is busy 2.we stand at the door and said to one of the waiter, we have booked the table for 20:30pm 3.He said to us go the bar to seat and wait, someone will come to you 4.we do what his say , we seat there in the corner of the bar waiting for someone to come to us for 15 minutes 5.after 15 minutes one of the waitress she look at us and she look a little bit concerned if there's anyone severe us but she didn't said anything and walked away 6.she disappeared from us and next we think the owner come to take orders for our drinks 7.we orders the drink, (white wine,alberino made in Spain We got our drink .one of waiter we guess his is Scottish open the wine for us , His is lovely 9.we have a drink and minutes after one of your waiter walk in to us, and we politely, Say hello to him but his didn't answer back we both look at each other, what is wrong with the guys , He is not happy. With what his do for living ?(his job) 11.His take a bottle of wine of are table and walk away. then the glass ( still not talk to us or tell us your table is ready Then we think our table is ready .we follow him to the table.and said thanks. His still not look happy . 13.we seat down happily We orders the food , we eat, drinks, enjoy each other company 14.Your food is lovely, I will order take away for that,but not service in the restaurant (some of your man need to wake-up. They are work as a customer service 🙄 15.we not finished the food ,My husband asked one of your waiter, can you box this for us please , so we can take it home Your waiter come back with the container and a bag put on the table AND WALK AWAY 17.That moments i look at my husband not happy at all ,because ,WE Realise THE GUY NOT HAPPY SO WE PACKING FOOD ourselves we don't mind that at all .if you're telling us .we have to pack it ourselves( I'm not lie about this) Look at you camera if you're have one .but if the way you run. your restaurant(I'm apologies on this)we are so sorry ( it our first time and it last 18.we except the way you run the restaurant and your customer service 🙄 and we respect the rocal family restaurant . Read moreWe come here every Christmas for our annual family meal. This year was the worst by far and we love this place. The food is out standing and we could never fault It, very tasty and warm once served to your table. However this year we left very very dissapointed and doubt we will return. It seems this year they have employed far much more staff than they actually need. We booked a table for 4 including our baby who is 3months and we stated he was to small for a high chair and would need to stay in his car seat on a chair, this was not a problem we were told. When we arrived it was as if they had no knowledge of our booking and we were ushered to the bar to wait. Now the restraunt is cramped and busy as it is let alone at Christmas and trying to squeeze by people enjoying their meal with a car seat. We were then seated and as soon as we opened our menus the waiter came over and asked for our meal order and we said no sorry we need more time we have just sat down. Since that moment everything was a rush, waiters over at you every 10 minutes not even to ask how our meal was but just standing over us, it was as if they wanted us to leave and clear our table for the next guests. Then once we had asked for the bill and began to leave we were finishing our drinks that were still half full and the waiters began to lift them away, now I'm no expert but as far as I was aware you don't take away drinks until the customer has actually left. We had to ask them not to take our glasses and that we were still drinking them. Read more11 of us were booked in for Xmas Dinner at 1.30pm. We were one of the first customers to arrive. Drink orders were taken, but no food orders were taken for a good hour afterwards. Food was fine, no complaints. Sat for ages and had a few rounds of drinks ordered before food finally arrived for our mains. One of our company even asked the drink waiter if they had any food! When it did arrive, once again, no complaints about the food. In the meantime most other tables were served their complete meal while we made do with 'drinks orders'. Then a huge queue appeared at once from approximately 3pm and filled the restaurant from the open front door winding round the restaurant behind us meaning that staff continually bumped into the back of our seats trying to pass the line of customers queued up for takeaways. Apart from the fact we felt uncomfortable with a queue of people watching us eat, there was no social distancing whatsoever! All the time we wanted to leave as the restaurant was absolutely freezing. They had calor gas fires dotted about, but, with the doors constantly open we had to put on our coats and sat shivering. We were left waiting for ages for desserts due to them serving takeaways. Only got served once I made comment. Not once throughout the day were we asked if everything was OK as is standard in restaurants. Finally, when we left, not one member of staff said thank you or goodbye. Service, unfortunately, was abysmal especially for such a long established restaurant! We all came down with covid in the following 48hrs. Not blaming the restaurant by any means, but thought it would be the decent thing to do to make them aware, but they showed no interest whatsoever.
