I decided to treat myself during these difficult times. Other staff in the salon said there's a café just down the road. My experience was not good. It was a man that served me and I said good morning, no reply I said what I wanted , he barely lifted his head. I paid said thank you and he still never spoke. Not very friendly and welcoming at all. We all have bad days but when we work with the public you have to be at least civil?
Response to owner. Thank you Gillian for your response to my review. I do not write reviews on a whim. My experience of the customer service at your café did not merit 5 stars . It may well be the case that if I had entered your café on a different day or at a different time and had I been served by another member of staff, my review might have been glowing . Clients ask often for recommendations on somewhere to get a coffee in the area and it brought it back to mind my experience at your establishment roughly 3 weeks ago, between 1pm and 2pm (when I take my lunch break). Read moreA regular at the coffee cup! However on 2 occasions now I have encountered a rude employee and it completely takes away from this great wee place! I work in hospitality also so understand sometimes short staff/busy days can be stressful however find it no excuse for rudeness. I was also given dirty cutlery asked for a replacement which got wiped with a napkin and given back to me - still dirty.
