Shocking unproffessional staff member . Older rude blonde "keeping checking" and watching ,while people are trying to eat and drink ,and apparently told to. .. "keep an eye" to that table !? ..."which was overheard by my 23 year old daughter and her friends whilst trying to enjoy a day out , and quizzed over her id ?.then was approached and asked was she aware it was alchohol she was drinking ? what a bizarre comment ?. Maybe you should "keep an eye"to the underage ones who use fraudulent I.d drinking in your place or the louts, instead of trying to intimidate a group of grown adult women and men. Also because the full table never ordered food/drink told to leave?and when someone from the table who wasn't eating did asked to order chips and curry they were told to leave again abruptly by gobby ignorant female staff. Seen some other reviews on trip advisor and other page a few with similar negative experiences , with certain staff picking on innocent individuals whilst the real trouble causers ,under age,and ruff ones arn't targeted and left alone! . But its whatever the pub likes as its custom suppose! .Very victimising ,intimidating and discriminating treatment. .The worst ever . Advertised as child friendly ? Certainly can't be adult friendly as proven .Don't even deserve one star ,but there's no option for a big fat 0, . Unclassy staff and atmosphere ,which may be pleasing for some common custom ,who just want a place to booze or fed. Thankfully not all wetherspoons serve this manner...
Read moreYesterday myself, my partner, son and future sister in law went to Wetherspoons with our dogs and there was clear indication only guide dogs inside the premises two notices at the front door and a notice on the right hand wall wall inside the building so we sat at the outside tables which was passed the yellow barrier of Wetherspoons and yet the Customer Assistant said wee couldn’t sit hear when we had already ordered our food which he knew so my partner offered to sit at the benches with the dogs which where across the road from Wetherspoons no near the premises the Customer Assistant then says my partner was not allowed to sit at those benches even after we clearly indicated there was a woman sitting there with her dog he then says she was allowed because she didn’t bring her dog to Wetherspoons.
So he goes to talk to his manager and comes back and says after we eat our food we have to leave and he was really rude and we had a child with us and he made it so loud and clear that the woman sitting at the benches across the road heard him.
We would never go back to this Wetherspoons again due to the lack of clear information, the food also wasn’t that good and especially the clear lack of customer service and...
Read moreVisited with wife for breakfast today. It was reasonably busy, and we struggled to find a clean table to sit at. Order through the App which was reasonably simple & painless. Food came out within 10 minutes which was pleasing. Small Scottish breakfast for me with added haggis. Beans had been heated more times than the earth. Tattie scone overcooked, haggis lukewarm as was the egg. Bacon was okay and the black pudding could have smashed windows. Ordered a coffee/hot chocolate on App, which when hot chocolate was dispensed from the machine was hot milk with sprinkles on top. Took it to the bar to ask for another mug so I could try another machine. Server was abrupt and rude, stating both machines weren’t working right so I couldn’t have one. ‘What ye wantin’ instead?” With a torn faced look wasn’t the best response either. I politely declined an alternative as I had also ordered an apple juice. No refund offered. Might it have been an idea for the other server to tell people when dropping mugs at the table that the hot chocolate wasn’t working? They were clearly aware of it. Wetherspoons usually do a much better job as a chain but this was...
