I went to coast for a family get together as my daughter lives in Birkdale. I have the been a couple of years ago but since then they have upped their game considerably. The restaurant was fully booked and to my mind a little bit too loud. The number of covers being seated to my mind was a bit high. It was difficult to manoeuvre between all the closely packed seats.

Having said that the meal that I had was absolutely fantastic. For starters, I had the Durban fishcakes which are quite excellent, but the Wagyu burger was in my opinion the best burger I’ve ever had. What more can I say?

The rest of the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and it was an excellent family gathering even though it was a bit difficult to maintain a coherent conversation.

This restaurant definitely is a must visit if you are in the area, however, booking I think is essential. Bring...

First time for us at Coast - it was all about being able to get a delicious plant based Sunday lunch, and we knew that Chef Petrus would do this for us, having enjoyed his food many times before - we're so lucky that he's stayed in our area. We were not disappointed, the flavour and texture he can get into a humble cauliflower is incredible, accompanied by his incredible use of sauces and purées and mighty roast potatoes. Thanks again Petrus for a lovely food experience, lovely to see your bright welcoming smile too. The team were very attentive also, I believe we were primarily served by Jitba (hopefully spelled correctly), she was very professional and polite. Fancy a treat, go and visit for the food, I don't believe you'll be disappointed - Petrus will always make a vegan delight, if the menu doesn't currently seem...

An absolute credit to the village! I don’t usually write reviews but I needed to write one because of how impressed I am. I have been a couple of times because I like the environment and the food.It has got a very classy feel while eating out and I’ve even just been to sit and have a coffee during the day but this review is really just a review about the Sunday roast. Me and my friends came on Sunday and we all expressed how it was the best roast we have all ever had. It was so good I’m sat here on Tuesday thinking of going back on Sunday again. I know it can get booked up quickly on Sundays because of the roasts and now I know why! Absolutely 10/10 and also to add the staff are a credit to them too. All very friendly and bring a great ethos to the place. Hats off to the...
