This used to be a fantastic business as Stanleys for lawnmower purchase and repair although repairs were always backed up and then they stopped lawnmower sales and repairs and believe they may have recently started it up again.. Also do safes and key cutting etc but the museum although obviously unique and has taken years to set up and perfect is really more of the owners pet project so to speak and think the Stanley's business really subsidises it. My husband is re-building an Atco mower so is full of enthusiasm & desperate to talk mowers to someone! So in I went and wow - what a surprise! Not just mowers, all sorts of amazing pieces of machinery;there was Paul O'Gray's lawnmower with pink fluffy bits on it,Prince Charles' ride-on mower given to him on his wedding to Lady Di,an enormous robot mower that could have mown a field! Amazing scythes and a machine that scarified, cut and rolled in one go! Fascinating stuff. Go and see and be amazed and...
