Enjoyed a lovely 'ladies who lunch' afternoon here with family. Large and lovely outside area, which will be fabulous on warm days. Inside its done out as a quaint old English teashop in beautiful pastel floral. We all enjoyed our savoury lunch - chosing soup/panini/sandwiches between us, all made from locally sources produce and fresh. Have to say- make sure you leave room for the main event of cakes!! Oh my word, literally spoilt for choice. Full array of delicious selection from scones, cheesecakes, cakes - all either made on site or by local lady. Absolutely scrumptious- and I sampled all 4 of our chosen sweets 😋. Whilst there, a pair of ladies ordered the afternoon tea. Worth another visit just for that!! Oh, and coffee and tea lovely too, aswell as service. ...

Went for breakfast with some friends this morning, asked if the sausage were pork explained I don't like Lincolnshire or any flavoured sausage was told by the older lady they were pork sausage when they arrived they had herbs in them said to the young girl I couldn't eat them she was very polite and said sorry ill rake it back, the older lady then came out and asked what was wrong I said I asked if they were just pork and she replied "you asked if they were pork or beef not if they had herbs" very rude then I herd her saying to the table next to us that also had a wrong order " well you said " , there was also a elderly gentleman who's chair and table was wobbly he was told oh just move it round, needs a...

I wasn’t sure what to expect when my friend brought me in to Rose’s this afternoon. I assumed by the name it would be a run-of-the-mill café that serves tea and cakes. It turned out to be so much more. I had the leek and potato soup and toasted cheddar chutney sandwich —both absolutely delicious. My friend had the beef pie that was as good as any I’ve ever tasted. The food is simple and straight forward with impressive technique. Every detail was spot-on. Impeccable. The service was friendly and efficient and relaxed. It's nice to try out independent and establishments off the beaten track. One of the waiting staff, a young lady with black hair and a mobile in the back right pocket was very friendly and chatty. Another one ginger haired, pleasant just doing her job. Very clean and the cakes we have had were delicious. We asked for 2 coffees 1 black and 1 white. We got served 1 black and 1 white Americanos. Which were 1 black and 1 white coffees. It was very tricky to get into the toilet (not enough space between 2 doors). I would recommend.

We visited The Rose Tea room on Saturday 11th February. The decor is beautiful and just as a tea room should be.The atmosphere was lovely along with the service. We had afternoon tea for 5 the cakes and sandwiches were all lovely. My little boy who is 13 months even had his own little plate of sandwiches. Upon hearing that this was a treat for my birthday the owner kindly gave me a glass of prosecco on the house which was very kind. I would definitely recommend a visit to this tea room.
