Purely Slice — Restaurant in Sefton

Having moved to the UK from Manhattan — a city that prides itself on having the perfect slice — I can unequivocally say that Purely Slice has some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted and is significantly better than 95% of the pizza in NYC. In fact, I think it's up there with most of the pizza in Naples. Of course the pizza in PS and Naples are not the same. Purely Slice has a thinner crust and is far less doughy but technically, to my mind, just as good. Also, Neapolitan pizza tends to have straightforward, traditional toppings, whereas Purely Slice has a modern take — with sweet and savory, absolutely delicious choices. The place inside reminds me of New York in the 90s, and, in particular, the Soho area of Manhattan with painted white brick which looks great.

So was walking through birkdale this afternoon, noticed a little pizza shop, popped in to ask a few questions the guy was super friendly, the place had a great vibe music playing the smells were insane, told me to download the app, we got home chose what we both wanted and then pick a time for collection, I went for the Truffle & Shroom pizza 16 inch 🐷 &, the wife wen for the Caprese also 16 inch😍 went in at 5 to 6 they were ready bang on time, both cooked to perfection honestly what a great pizza more expensive than your domino's but there's absolutely no comparison. Would ignore some of the below negative reviews about this place, clearly out to sabotage a new business. It’s absolutely incredible & a great contrast to the restaurant in Burscough.

Even the focaccias are unbelievable on their lunch menu, let alone the pizzas.
