I visited with five cycling friends on a Sunday as the cafe one of the group chose was closed. Inside the Remedy looked very pleasant and was fairly busy. As we were six wet cyclists, we chose to sit outside. The staff gave us some paper towels to wipe the tables and chairs down as they were very wet. Within a couple of minutes, we were given some menus, and the waitress took our orders. I ordered a 10oz white americano (£3.60) and a handmade buttered toasted teacake (£3.80). The coffee was very nice. I am a huge fan of teacakes and have tried many different makes. I am sad to say that this one was not worth £3.80. It was a little on the small side for that price. Considering it was handmade, my favourite ones I buy at the moment (Sheldons) are far better. If the menu hadn't said the teacakes were handmade, I would have guessed they had been bought from a supermarket. Some of my friends ordered a slice of thick buttered toast (£1.80). If you add Jam, the price jumped to £2.75. Although the toast was thick and very nice, £0.95p for jam in our opinion is very expensive and not value for money. I had cause to use the bathroom before continuing with our ride back to the Wigan area. The bathroom was in a very clean and tidy condition. The service was fairly quick and the staff were very friendly. For cyclists: if you sit inside, there is no secure place to leave your bike or keep it within view. We parked our bikes where their bins are kept, next to the outside...

Lovely cosy atmosphere with comfortable seating and air conditioning. I ordered their full English breakfast and it was delicious, the sausages and bacon were excellent quality and my poached egg was cooked to perfection. The toasted brown bread was fresh, tasty and most importantly warm. The baked beans came in a little ramekin which was ideal for me as i dont like the bean juice all over my breakfast, so i usually just say no beans. My friend had the vegetarian breakfast which looked so good I will order that on my next visit. As soon as I walked in a could smell the coffee, so I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. They had several options and numerous flavours of syrup but I just had a regular coffee which was far superior to anything I have ever had from Starbucks. The staff were lovely, we were greeted as we came in and asked where we would like to sit. Our order was taken quickly and we had our food within 20 minutes. We were asked if everything was okay, which it was and if we would like more coffee, which we did. The food is priced more than fairly when you consider the quality of the ingredients, the skill of the chef and service. I would 100%...

Have enjoyed previous visits here but felt totally ripped off after today's visit. Menu said the gin we picked was served with berries and a lemon tonic. However when we came to pay charged extra for the lemon tonics. Manager was most unhelpful when we queried this and said it is a recommendation not what it comes with. I did explain that if I bought food that said served with chips I wouldn't expect to pay extra for chips but Manager was very condescending and told me I obviously didn't understand drinks menus. To be fair a younger member of staff was much more understanding but left with sour taste in my mouth. The whole drinks menu and pages saying about discount drinks in quiet time very misleading. Be warned I wouldn't want any one else to feel ripped off like we did. Not just misleading menus but also attitude of manager has put me off returning there. Just wanted to...

A quiet cosy place near the botanic gardens with plenty of options for vegetarian and vegan food. I absolutely loved the food, and the service was good too. I ordered the vegan English breakfast, and it was very good. The courgette fritters and the toasted brown bread come a tad bit well done for my taste, and I might request them to cook them a little less for me next time, more like golden brown than dark brown. But everything tasted great, and provided for a very filling meal. I would highly recommend making reservations, as I saw that almost every table had signs for being reserved. Even we received a table which was due to be vacated in 1.5 hours, but that was plenty of time for us to order, eat and pay.

Here most days…the reason being..Emma makes best flat white, menu and food is on the money and “All” the staff are dedicated, hardworking, engaging and fun……so cool your jets when they are busy, and they get busy…(the quality is the clue in that). So don’t whine at them, be patient, be polite and book ahead if it really matters to be there..(birthdays, ,meetings etc) they are in Service, not your servants!! Dogs are allowed in main inside area (they have outside as well, but they only tolerate well behaved ones..Tip- not everyone likes to see them, hear them or them- maybe, keep them on a lead, and take them outside if they’re barking!! Popular all year around…❤️

Wow Wow Wow We went into remedy churchtown @ 9am for a breakfast we hadn't booked, but on Sunday it had reserved all over the tables, and for a very good reason the breakfast was exceptional, the veggie breakfast had some kind of courgette fritter tasted sublime and the halloumi was excellent (I don't normally like halloumi) every last bit of both breakfasts was so tasty and the poached eggs cooked to perfection, we also loved the little box filled with games & colouring books for the kids to use, service great too.
