Had a lovely evening at The Grapevine for a family birthday meal. Sunday roasts were superb and all food was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful although service was very slow (50 minute wait for mains) and told us we needed to hurry up because they needed the table back - but if service was quicker it wouldn’t have been a problem! Wouldn’t have minded but we didn’t even order starters so the issue was on their end. Desserts were extremely good although again a 20 minute wait and they forgot one of the ice creams. No check-backs from the servers to see if food was okay or we needed any more drinks but other than that very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return as giving some leeway for being busy on Sundays for roast dinners plus a busy time of year so no hard feelings. Menu not clear on dietary restrictions and needed to download their allergens list online except bad signal so had to pay for wifi access to be able to review it. Disappointed that most things are cooked in butter as it means a member of our party with a dairy allergy couldn’t order the Sunday roast as only things they could have on it was steamed broccoli and the meat (no gravy or Yorkshire pudding as contained butter and/or milk and also the carrots, parsnips and roast potatoes were...

Food here is great, not had a bad meal. The tapas and steak are very nice. Small so booking is highly recommended.

Downstairs bar is also small can get very busy quick but outside seating in the summer.

Service can be a bit slow in very busy periods but staff are always friendly.

The tapas is great and the restaurant offers take away! Great option if you fancy something different and good quality.

This area of Chruchtown has grown with a few quality bars to have a drink offer your meal within walking distance.

Reopened after covid and a new menu the tapas is till spot on. The downstairs bar area has increased capacity after making the bar smaller.

My favourite dish is the Salt and Pepper chicken goujons with the lamb meatballs on a close second and the Cajun slider...

Went for a quick lunch with my hubby, seen pictures on Facebook, thought nice! Obviously they were in a different restaurant to me! Service slow, but I have never had frozen calamari in my life, elastic bands come to mind!! Chew, chew, chew and keep chewing, luckily I have got my one teeth 😂 Frozen spring duck rolls! Terrible. I wanted to dispute the meal, but my husband always says, DONT, we just won’t come again!

Oops forget to mention the man behind the bar who thinks he’s gorgeous, I asked for the sweet menu, he said I am the sweet menu! Maybe his mirrors aren’t the same as mine! How confident is that when ure serving terrible food 😂😂 Enough said , do not waste...

I'm still dreaming about this tapas!! From start to finish we had a wonderful evening. Stumbled upon it after a Google search whilst staying on a local glamping site and I am so glad we did. 2 cocktails, 6 dishes, a cappuccino, a soft drink and a brownie all for £60, which I thought was incredibly reasonable. Staff were amazing and really knowledgable and friendly. Food was some of the tastiest I've ever had. Will 100% be coming back if we're ever in the area again. Managed to park right outside which was also handy but I can see it being busier at peak times (we went at 5pm on a Thursday).

To start with, the lovely book bound menu looks impressive. The contents was chaotic. Took us more then 30 mins. to work out menu and eventually had to get a staff member to explain their system. As they have separate menus for the day time and evening meals , Sunday roast menu, a morning till 2 pm menu.....which becomes an all day menu on Saturday. Well we got the later. There wasn't much to choose from. So we got starters and main dish. What we did not expect was it was gonna stuff us up and shut us up. Good huge serves, tasty and reasonably priced. It's worth the experience.
