Friendly knowledgeable staff with an exceptionally pleasant and bar manager who was extremely passionate about the bar. Large bar area with seating at the abr and against the wall and a large back room with multiple seating areas and tables. A brilliant addition to Ainsdale village. The Golden Monkey is an essential visit if you value quality service, an excellent range of beverages and a cosy, friendly atmosphere.

The cask ales are constantly rotating and reflect the best products from many of the North West's artisan breweries. They are also extremely well-maintained by the cellar team, meaning you get to taste the beer as the brewer intended which is something you don't easily find in today's world.

Such a great night with my friends here on a random Thursday. Sue was behind the bar and totally looked after us. She was hilarious, attentive, always on the ball with knowing our drinks etc. The complimentary sandwiches were an AMAZING touch. Never bothered going out for food and stayed drinking instead !!
