We visited on a Sunday afternoon and what a great menu, brunch dishes on one side then ta daaa Sunday Roast when you turn it over. I had the nut roast option which it said was vegetarian not vegan . Im not sure if it is the roast itself or just some of the other items on the plate, I should have asked so I could say in my review. The nut roast was rally tasty, moist and full of flavour, and the plate contained multiple other items - roast and mashed potatoes, carrots, cabbage, parsnip, tendersteam broccoli, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, gravy. Lots of dogs were in attendance, they have a large outside terrace some is open and some covered, as well as a big space inside. Lots of staff taking care of everyone ans very friendly.

The place was lovely, it was a little on the loud side as it was pretty busy. I ordered coffee and spicy chorizo avo toast - the coffee was lukewarm and the toast was on the smaller portion size. Thought there would be 2 slices of toast at least, but instead it was just the one piece - it was okay but nothing special. We also asked for water 3 times and was forgotten about all 3 times, we gave up in the end. Also, the women's toilet was just in a bit of a state. I'm hoping it was just an off day for them as it had the potential to be a nice place to hang out.

Thought we'd drop in for a quick pint. It was nicely decorated and immaculately clean inside and is quite popular judging from the amount of people sitting outside at lunchtime. There was a good selection of drinks and service was quick. There was still plenty of seating available outside, and there was also a covered section on one side. I'd imagine that in the evening it would be quite busy.

Only give 3 stars as the service is awful. We reserved our table and was given a quiet spot (which was excellent). After waiting for 10-15min, not seeing any staffs to come over for our order I thought it might be because we away from the main serving area, I went up to the front and mentioned that we ready to place our order and told them where we were sitting. The waitress said she will be there in a minute. These happened another 3 more times. 4th times was by my daughter as she was getting abit impatient. The food arrived which was good but without our drinks order and I need to ask the waitress about them. Honestly the hours we were in was not that busy. Although the cafe/bar has a good atmosphere and serve decent food, I don't think I will like to...

Just had another lovely brunch here. Delicious scrambled eggs. We love it here, its our local. Great atmosphere, manager lovely and staff great. Good value for money. Huge asset to the village. 2 very minor points, I'm surprised the cutlery doesn't come before the food, seems petty but I love hot food. Sometimes when it's busy you wait a little while with food in front of you. Another one is the acoustics in the outdoor covered area. It's better now there are new chairs but it's design means if it's busy it's very noisy, struggle to hear a conversation. My only suggestion would be AstroTurf?? It would look lovely and absorb the sound. Wouldn't stop me coming but worth a mention. I know others say the same. We'll be back...
