Aqua Traditional Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Sevenoaks

Fantastic new chippy in Sevenoaks town. Spotted the restaurant on the way to Ingham Mote, decided to stop for it on the way home. The restaurant is new, nice new interior and clean comfortable seating inside. The two bosses on site were fantastic, we were looking for kids meals and couldn't see it on the main menu but were given the options that were waiting to make the print. Ordered cod and chips and two kids bites meals all came to just under £30. Everything was FRESH! The cod batter to fish ratio was perfect with a nice crispy outside and perfectly cooked inside. The chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside. Kids enjoyed their meals, the portions were big so we ended up taking it back home.

Popped in here as we were after some fish and chips, after trying 2 that were shut we come across Aqua, very pleasant greeting and clean inside, we ate in and had fish and chips & halloumi and chips, all the food was cooked fresh and tasted gorgeous, the only think that made me give 4 stars was you have the option to sit in and eat but you have to pay 80p for a tiny sachet of ketchup, salt and vinegar are available on the tables so why not ketchup, as I say that’s the only let down if you’re sitting in, this wouldn’t put me off going back though as the food is so delicious and excellent...

Ordered on a Friday at 1930 and it arrived at 2030. There were no pictures online on how big the cod bites were..can confirm they are not "bites" lol. The batter was soft, not crispy and had no flavour. I would compare the batter to chinese chicken balls. The chips were also soft and flavourless. I actually said,'I don't think I can eat this'. The Tartar sauce also seemed wattered down if that's possible? I hate leaving bad reviews for independent businesses, but this really was awful, which is such a shame as it looks like a...
