The standard Costa experience. Somewhat mediocre coffee sold at overly inflated prices but with a consistency I find somehow reassuring. I always feel the coffee isn't strong enough, and having to pay for a stronger brew irks me on some level. Perhaps offer a coffee based on taste instead of generically warm milk with a hint of the good stuff. Anyways, my journey here was severely spoiled by the state of the toilet and baby changing facilities. Bags of nappys were spilling out of the bin and onto the floor. Seriously unhygienic. I wouldn't expect this anywhere, let alone a high street coffee shop which should have much higher standards.

Every day, I come to this place, and no matter how far I go, I always return to it at the end of the day, even if just to sit for a couple of hours. The atmosphere is warm thanks to the wonderful, attentive staff, who make you forget the exhaustion of a long day with their care, smiles, and excellent hospitality. Of course, the coffee is good, and so is the food, but it is the staff who truly set this branch apart from all the Costa branches I have visited.

I love this costa I am never disappointed with the customer service, speed, quality of food or cleanliness of this place. I got my go to order (toasties and fudge frappe with soya milk and coffee shot) and I'm blown away. The sprinkles are an added touch and it's never tasted so great. The young woman on the till this morning was also so lovely and reassuring when I struggled to order. Best experience I could've asked for

I came into the branch after a night of drinking too much and in desperation of some good coffee and breakfast. I was greeted by a lovely man who I think was called Aaron (At least that's what it said on the POS system) but was on morning shift 'Tues 23 jul' ; who despite the early morning greeted me and made me feel very welcome, my Americano was perfectly dialled in Which isn't always given with chain coffee but clearly he understands how to pull a decent shot. He also offered to warm everybody's pastries which might sound basic, but a lot of people would skip this step and really shows his attention to detail. He also upselled in a really genuine way that felt natural and not corporate at all which was really nice. The store was really clean so clearly they take care in closing duties which is great too see as often it takes teams staying extra too get this done in a busy store like this.; definitely appreciated from a customer point of view. He had a homeless guy begging for a free drink or food and resolved the situation very quickly and sternly but friendly as well as professionally; he looked out for the customer's sat in the store as the guy was trying to beg them for food. This easily could have felt very uncomfortable for the people inside and they would have felt pressured by this guy who ultimately has put himself in this situation. I have massive respect for having to deal with this kind of behaviour as it can't always be easy and is very repetitive as this sort of thing happens everyday. Too often. I think reviews are overly negative. When really you can see that teams are trying so hard to please customers. I'm sick of seeing old people who order skinny extra hot wet decaf extra shot / half a shot (really what is that about a single shot is like 7g of coffee man)complaining when their cappuccino isn't boiling hot. Which yes, the milk is going to scold. I hope that you see this review and you understand that you are appreciated and that you do deserve to be paid more than you are even in chain coffee And if the business/general manager sees this please praise your barista maestro as he's doing a very good job as well as I'm sure the rest of your team. Thanks guys

P.S I'll give positive feedback on the feedbacktocosta thing as well to help out with any KPIs/goals you might have on there :)

P.P.S I really liked the music that...

I hope I'm mistaken because usually the service is good here, but I ordered a drink today with soya milk and seem to have been given normal milk instead. I'm lactose intolerant so the stomach cramps will attest to that! This is likely an accident but just be aware that if you're ordering an unusual drink make sure the milk choice is correct. I had a look at the allergens menu and the drink does not contain milk with soya milk used. This has happened a lot from various other coffee shops as well so I suppose a review could help...
