Dore Cafe — Restaurant in Sheffield

I strive to be be the best version of myself that I can possibly be both in my work and in myself, so therefore I really appreciate it when I come across people and businesses that obviously share the same sentiment. I've been to dore cafe twice now and from both visits its obvious that they are committed to giving you the best possible experience you can have. The lady's who serve are professional and full of character. I had a blt today and asked the question " can I have mayo on it?" One of the lady's looked slightly bemused and said " it comes with mayo" which I replied " you'd be surprised how many places don't put mayo on. To which her reply was "they're not proper sandwiches then. I totally agree this cafe is the real deal, if your in the area give it a go trust me ya won't be disappointed. Long may they keep going....

We have spent a fair bit of time in the Dore Cafe over the last couple of years while visiting an elderly relative and bringing him out for lunch to sit outside. The staff have been great about trying to make food accessible to eat with a disability and the food is always delicious and lots of portion for your money. Recently we have been a couple of times on our own and had the English breakfast. Genuinely excellent, fantastic hash browns, big doorstops of bakery bread toast, nothing greasy, really very good indeed and fantastic pricing. Can highly recommend! Bacon and brie Ciabatta.....lovely Ciabatta and a generous slice of brie. Regrettably spoilt by very fatty bacon, to the extent the bread was soaked in fat and you could taste very little of either the Brie or Cranberry. Drinks brought out and server placed hands all over both lids "to check they were secure". No effective "one way" system in place outside the shop. Little change from 14 quid for 2 x sandwiches and drinks. Poor show. Will not return. No point raising with the proprietor as clearly they feel its acceptable to serve food in this way.
