Would highly recommend a visit Me and my partner visited last night (06/04/24) We booked a table which I would highly recommend as it was very busy on arrival. We were seated quickly on arrival. We were seated in the conservatory area in the corner. The decor is very nice and modern and the atmosphere was very nice although very loud from other customers. The ordering process is very simple and quick, the waitress took our drink order then returned to take our food order. Drinks arrived in around 10 minutes after order. I'm an avid Guinness drinker, and the pint of guiness from here was probably up there with the best pint I've had. It was that nice. I ordered a second. The menu is quite simple and offers a small selection per section. The food arrived in around 40 minutes from order to eat, although it was very busy with all the tables taken, so it is understandable about the wait. The food was 10 out of 10 and well worth the wait. The steaks were both cooked to perfection. I had Medium Rare, and my partner had Medium Well. I ended my meal with a sticky toffee pudding that was very tasty and not overly sweet. Overall it was a really nice experience and very nice food. The negative parts Parking - It's clearly not the venues fault for parking, as there's no where they could offer customers parking. We parked just down the road on the street without an issue. The noise - Again not the venues fault as they can't control how loud people talk. If you're overly sensitive to noise, I'd say give it a miss on a busy day

If your ever over Sheffield way on then I encourage you to pay a visit to The Dore bar and grill. Recently renovated and under new management this place is 10/10. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating considering we were running late by just over an hour, I did keep them informed mind. They have a nice sized area outside where you can choose to eat but it was a little fresh today so we opted to dine indoors. Inside is decorated lovely with lots of floral displays and stylish wallpaper. The menu has a lot to choose from and for starters the choice was King Prawn cocktail and the Burrata both of which were lovely. As for mains as we were there on a Sunday it would have been rude not to try out their Sunday Roast platter and it didn’t disappoint. On our next visit I would be tempted to try one of their other sharing boards as they sound mouth-wateringly tasty too.

We arrived at TDB&G at 6pm and the entry way we felt very welcomed. The first waitress was a little too business like and took our orders. After that Jemma looked after our table was an amazing hostess. Checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The main meal did take a little while to arrive, but Jemma made sure we knew we hadn't been forgotten, and understandably as it was a busy place. When dinner arrived it was delicious and absolutely cooked to perfection (Roast Beef and all the trimmings) Jemma made sure we had all the condiments that we needed and delicious horseradish! They also did a great but roast for my vegetarian sister. Despite the wait - Jemma made the visit well worth it and we discussed booking again for Christmas.

An old favourite which has been revitalised both indoors and out. After some considerable time being a closed this venue in the centre of Dore village has been transformed from tired and outdated, to fresh, tasteful and modern but still retained a cosy feel. It is devided into several small dining areas, a rear conservatory and a central bar area. There is also a large covered outdoor seating area with blankets to cover your knees, dog bowls full of clean water and doggy treats to help yourself to. Inside is also dog friendly with the only restrictions in the carpeted areas. The menu is extensive and covers breakfast lunch and dinner. You are also welcome to have a coffee and cake or just a refreshing alcoholic drink... We arrived in time for breakfast ( this menu finishes at 11.30am ) and both had a small English breakfast. This was plenty to meet our needs and included bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, toast and a poached egg. It arrived within a short wait and we were served coffee whilst the food arrived. All the staff were smiling, friendly and helpful. They served us efficiently and not too clingy..... All in all a pleasant experience and we will be happy to return and perhaps try lunch next time. It was a busy place and has a small parking area but plenty of free on-road parking is available nearby. I would recommend booking for lunch and dinner and as our visit was midweek I guess it will be very busy...

Disappointing experience. We visited for my husband’s birthday lunch (4 adults, 1 child) - we were really looking forward to our meal, and the restaurant itself is decorated well.

We were immediately rushed to order by an unfriendly server. The food took a while, which we wouldn’t have minded if the quality had matched the high prices—but it didn’t. My son’s pizza arrived and it was visibly burnt to a crisp. We didn’t need to try it and even the server admitted it shouldn’t have been served, (which begs the question as to why it was fine to come out of the kitchen like that). My burger arrived and was stone cold in the middle. Both meals had to be sent back, leaving us waiting while the rest of the table ate.

Service remained slow and we had to get up twice - once to ask to order more drinks and another just to pay our bill at the bar, while three staff members stood at the other side of the restaurant, some on their phones and clearly unbothered. They did take the two meals off the bill but sadly, we won’t...
