The food is mediocre at best. Husband had a mixed grill, with medium rare steak and peppercorn sauce. The steak was overdone and the peppercorn sauce tasted, in his words, “watered down”. His fried egg was also overcooked and the chicken wasn’t very tasty. Not worth £17 + £2 for peppercorn in his opinion. I had the kebab flatbread which also was rather disappointing. The chicken had very little flavour and it was smothered in sauce which meant the flatbread was soggy and completely fell apart before I could even start eating. Then there was pretty much a whole red onion, chopped into huge chunks and uncooked. It was far too much onion, particularly uncooked red onion. Had it been fried with peppers, and with the chicken, it probably would have been much nicer. The sauce was quite nice but was quite watery, making the flatbread soggy.

Service wise, Jocey is fab and you can see how hard she works. She was buzzing around to all the tables with a lovely cheery attitude.

We have tried meadow farm a few times over the last couple years and have never walked away thinking “that was really delicious”....

Service was absolutely arse honestly felt like something on someone's shoe rather than a paying customer, when coming into the pub half of it was reserved so we was forced to sit down in the kids area and this was at 6 in the afternoon and was still reserved at 8. Then ordered 3 of the exact same meal and then also a side to come out with the 3 meals. However only 2 of the 3 meals arrived with the side i was then sat for over 10 minutes waiting for the same meal . So I asked a passing member of staff so she took my side and left with it and told me it would be a few minutes again waiting another 10 minutes at this point everyone else had almost finished , and we had come out for a birthday so not very good I had to eat alone when it was the same meal. Nothing was wrong with the food , however we DID NOT get a check back to see how the food was and I didn't get a explanation to why it took so long and when I did ask , I just got told "I don't know I did go in and ask for it". Overall a explanation and a apology...

With the food im used to I cant rate this anymore than a 3 star.. however, my partner and kids enjoyed it. AND THEY DO THE BEST CAKES EVER.

The best thing about this place is their chocolate cakes they are amazing. And huge!

My daughter loved the out door play area.

I paid just under £10 for a chicken conbo meal.. it came with chicken strips and "two" chicken breast and fries.. it wasn't really 2 breast but more like half of a breast cut into 2 big chunks..

The food itself wasn't anything to remember or brag about. It was more like fridge freezer food but was told after that this is just how pub food is. So based on that I can't give a top score.

The dessert range is good but was abit put off when I seen that they staff just got them out of the fridge already boxed up... so made me question how fresh they are.

If your into your bland food and carvery than yes this is the place for you... but food me I didn't see anything on the menu that appealed to me so just went with the freezer...

I mean staff was friendly and the place is ok i can't say a bad word about, its just the food i did not enjoyed don't get me wrong i regulary visit for thier breakfast and personally can't fault them but the Sunday roast dinner was just flavourless and even though it looked amazing on the plate i have just did not enjoyed the taste myself. Take this as my persomal opinion don't judge the place just based on this opinion your experience may be completely different and in any way i do not wish to make a bad name for the place i may have just visited on the day that has not been good to me ;) and google asked me how was my experience strait after i left the place.

Today the pub was packed. There was queues to be seated, queues to order food and queues for the carvery. Luckily I ordered smothered chicken which was brought to the table. However over 30 minutes wait for both mains and for pudding to arrive. I had to ask the waitress twice to find out where our food was. They seem to be short staffed. The food was lovely though. A large car park. An indoor and outdoor children's play area. The toilets are reasonably clean. Prices are reasonable too. There is a section of the pub reserved for adults only.
