2023 saw the redesign and refurbishment of the playground and improvements deliver across the wider site. Playground improvements consisted of new equipment offering unique and varied play opportunities. Accessibility was improved across the space through hard landscaping to deliver pathways and new play attractive play surfacing, this delivered a play space that is now usable in all weathers. Within the redesign wildflower and tree planting was incorporated into the area helping to support biodiversity and connect users to the surrounding nature. Finally bespoke accessible picnic tables and seating were installed to enable users to sit and enjoy this new enhanced space. Wider site improvements included tree planting, new benches & bins and refurbishment of the Multi-Use Games area to once again deliver a functioning space to play basketball, football and other sports.
