The Park — Restaurant in Sheffield

Mixed review... the food was amazing! Hot and full of flavour, however the lunch service was a JOKE! So we are waiting at the bar 20 mins before being served. One of the staff looked like a manager in black top. She had a rubbish attitude and was talking to you like she was reading from a script, the other had a blue shirt on and instead of serving people quickly and sufficiently she just was running back and forth to the kitchen to ask them stupid questions that her college ALREADY ANSWERED before she ran and asked anyway???? So I ordered from the robot reading the script, a burger and just wanted normal fries. She told me it was chunky chips which I don’t like or curly fries, so I accepted curly fries then realised she over charged me for the meal. Went back waiting another 5/10 mins to be told oh yeah you paid extra for the curly fries?? So she didn’t warn me I’d pay extra and did not give a flying spoon about it either she basically robbed me for a extra pound, anyway I just went back to the table and there was 6 of us that all received our meals at different times!??? 15 mins apart from each other!??? So if you want to eat together then don’t come here because you get your food when they can be bothered basically? It’s awkward as we was taking people with disabilities out to eat so trying to explain they have to wait whilst they watch you eat is just ridiculous??? Again staff didn’t care at all. We used to go regular before or after Katie's Cycling Session with Sheffield Cycling 4 All in Hillsborough Park and the staff have always been amazing with Katie and good food, excellent customer service,etc . We frequent several Sizzler Pubs that are rarely the same after a few months, due to staff changes, management changes and chef changes, which is very noticeable at some as the food is terrible. We came back after Covid and received the same service, good food and friendliness and due to life and changes we finally went back today to cycling and Katie's favourite Sizzler to be greeted by the same staff and lovely new staff ,with the same friendliness that remember Katie and had a laugh and a joke with her. The food was great as it always is to 🩷 why oh why can't you find the same for our local Rotherham ones, they are so up and down with bad food, bad customer service and on a lot of occasions unclean and unfriendly. This Sizzler always stands out from the rest and with Katie, we do visit a few lol 🤣 x Thanks ladies for always having time in your busy day for a bit of a joke with our now Special Olympics Great Britain Ten Pin Bowling 🎳 Silver Medal Winner lol 🤣 x she's so proud...

Had a fantastic experience 😊 it was absolutely packed but the staff especially the manager went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely meal and was comfortable. I had pre booked at table for 6pm but we arrived early so we could have a drink first, unfortunately the table we had been provided was rather small and close to the entrance doors so the manager sorted us a more appropriate table out in a better location out of the kindness of her heart. We were told they may be a 45 min wait on food which was totally understandable as it was so busy, but we ordered our meals and within 30 mins they were at our table.
