Waitress was not friendly nor professional . We were asked to leave the restaurant with the excuse that the table is booked for another party although the restaurant was nearly empty with plenty of spaces for other people to dine . Moreover, we were not given this information beforehand when we made the booking that we need to leave the table by a certain time . Food was variable depending on the dish . I wouldn’t recommend the Kebab (Loghmeh) .Not a pleasant experience overall and certainly not going back again .
*A reply to The Antler’s owner response to my review: Unfortunately your response was not factually correct nor honest , which if anything highlights the unprofessional service provided by your restaurant and staff. Although we contacted the restaurant a couple of hours prior to our booking to ask if it was possible to change the time due to unprecedented circumstances, we were not notified that the table is available for certain time only . We would have happily changed our reservation to a different restaurant if the time slot did not suit us. Moreover, bookings for large parties more than 10 could not be done online and have to be completed over the phone as per the instructions on your website. Therefore, it’s misleading for you to state that we received any email confirmation with any details of the booking . As for the kids menu , we specifically asked your waitress if there’s a kids menu or meals that would be suitable for kids .However her response was that kids specific meals were not catered in this restaurant and only what’s available on the menu could be served to the kids ,without highlighting nor asking if those would be suitable for their delicate taste. It would be important to have better communication with your staff and educate them on what your restaurant can provide. In well reputable restaurants, diners are usually asked about certain dietary requirements and given advice on food available on the menu according to diners liking . This is perhaps something you and your team would want to work on . Although the menu is available on the website , it does lack important informative description. I must highlight that following my review you contacted my friend who made the booking and pleaded I amend my review and rating . This should reflect on the professionalism of your service and makes anyone highly question the misleading reviews for your page. Lastly , if I have previously visited your restaurant before , there would certainly be no second visit...
Read moreOur visit to this Persian restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, every dish was full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and served with genuine warmth.
We began with Kashk-e Bademjan, Spinach Burani, and Zeytoon Parvardeh. Each appetizer brought something unique: the eggplant dip was smoky and velvety, the spinach burani was rich and refreshing, and the marinated olives were tangy, bold, and delicious.
For mains, we tried the Koobideh, Shish Shandiz, and Salmon with Saffron Rice. The koobideh was juicy and perfectly spiced, the lamb was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, with fragrant saffron rice that tied everything together. A glass of wine alongside brought it all together beautifully.
And then — dessert! We couldn’t resist trying a bit of everything: the Bastani (Persian saffron ice cream) was creamy and aromatic with hints of rosewater and pistachio; the Baklava was perfectly flaky and sweet; and the Tiramisu offered a rich, velvety finish. It was a perfect trio — East meets West on a dessert plate.
The atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the service was excellent — attentive without being intrusive.
If you’re looking for an authentic Persian meal with thoughtful details and unforgettable flavors, this is the place. Highly...
Read moreI recommend getting a selection of homemade dips from their small plates section along with some warm Sangak (wholewheat flatbread baked on pebbles) to scoop it all up with. The Olivieh made with mashed potato, chicken, pickles, eggs and mayo was particularly interesting! I also enjoyed the Yetimcheh which is a stew made with aubergine, courgette, onion, peppers and tomato paste. Warm, comforting and perfect for this season 😌
The Bandari Chick infused with saffron, lemon, chilli, sumac and red pepper paste was so juicy and had that distinct smoky taste and deep caramelisatiom from being char-grilled over hot coals. This paired with their saffron rice studded with caramelised Persian barberries is just exquisite 🤌
Definitely save room for their Bastani - homemade saffron ice cream sandwiched between thin wafers and dipped in pistachio. It tasted just as good as it looks! 🍦
All of the dishes were authentic, vibrant and fragrant - I can't wait to try more Persian/Iranian fare on my next visit! It was also my first time trying orange wine, the one pictured had notes of citrus and...
