This place is so good that I am ambivalent about telling people about it in case it gets too busy!
Discovered Tokyo Thai a few weeks ago when trying to decide if I was more in the mood for sushi or Thai food. It has quickly become my favourite place to eat out. The quality of the food is exceptional, everything fresh and flavours that zing. The Makimono I have tried so far have been absolute works of art. The Thai fish cakes and green curry were also perfection. The prices are reasonable, to the point that we kept checking the bill yesterday because it didn't seem enough. And the service is sweet and welcoming.
By the way, it only came to £20+ a head because we ordered loads. You could definitely eat here for £10-20.

What let this place down was the service and noise. A friday night so busy but there was only one member of staff working the tables. We’d finished our sushi before the ginger arrived. We spent a lot of time just sat waiting around for menus, drinks, food, table cleared…
The noise was unbearable. There’s no decor to absorb the din of people. It’s a small space so not much they can do except reduce number or tables or put up soft furnishings ?

Beautiful food, freshly made and very tasty. Small restaurant with a welcoming vibe, and very attentive waitress. Very reasonably priced food, with large selection of hot dishes, sushi and side dishes.
We had a variety of sides including kimchi, gyozas , tempura and sushi which were all delicious.
I am vegetarian and had a reasonable selection, but would love if the curries had the option of being Tofu based as well.
