Please Read Before Ordering!!!!!!!

Edited on 25/1/25. I suspect the owner of New Zing Vaa does not read his own reviews posted by customers. I went through Deliveroo to try and get a refund and they offered me £4 compensation from a loss of £41 that I originally paid for the meal. £41 for a meal that my dog would have rejected. I will not be ordering from your “fine establishment” or “Deliveroo” again on the grounds that the food is not fit for human consumption.

I have only just received the meal about 10 minutes ago.

I ate 1 chip and instantly knew that the meal was going to be terrible. The chips were chewy and not freshly cooked at all. The prawn crackers tasted like they went out of date last year.

I paid upwards of £41 for this meal and to be quite frank I wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

The owner of this establishment should be utterly ashamed and embarrassed by selling this food to customers as it’s not edible.

I don’t not know how this takeaway has the cheek to sell this food to humans. This takeaway needs Investigating by the food standards agency.

Firstly, the staff here are hugely underwhelming. I'm pretty sure they will be paid to be there, but that isn't reflected in their tone.

Ordered from here as our usual Chinese (which is Hong Kong Garden, just up the road at Banner Cross and is much tastier and cheaper!! Plus the staff are friendly) was closed due to holidays. Kind of wish I'd have taken that as a sign to make food at home....

Anyway, the food from here was promptly ready - perhaps the only positive. But, a meal was missing which I only realised once home. The food that we did have was bland (I mean really, really bland). The egg rice was worse than a microwaveable packet, the Prawn toast hadn't been anywhere near any crustaceans but had overly soaked up all the grease from the fryer. Spring rolls were dry and almost double the price from our usual, with less food.

If you're looking for a reason to stop ordering Chinese takeaway for a bit, then go ahead and place an order here. The staff will demonstrate their dissappintment when you call too. Otherwise keep browsing for another, you'll...

I have had issues with the delivery but the restaurant works hard to make things right. I love that there is great cantonese cuisine nearby! I can already see myself ordering from here...
