KFC Shrewsbury - Barker Street — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

We came to enjoy the festive burger this evening. The 2 servers were under a lot of pressure to get the orders out and weren’t doing very well. The dining room wasn’t even that busy just 2-3 of us waiting for food. Food was placed on the trays but then forgotten about whilst they did the just eat takeaways. To me it seems like they can’t keep up with the trade if you are struggling with staff why add this to the mix? Our dinner was popped on a tray whilst we watched it go cold. All it needed was baked beans and the man waited 20 minutes just for baked beans whilst the food was just sat going cold. The manager finally helped out and got things moving but when I explained my food was going cold he just quickly replied “we are under a lot of pressure” and never spoke again there was no apology or replacement even thought about. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a long wait and cold food. The dining area was disgusting food on the floor and tables un-wiped. If you can’t cope with the work and it’s not up to the standard you advertise maybe look into cutting the deliveries and focusing on the dining experience. Came in about 8pm on Tuesday night and was told it was takeaway only despite not being told beforehand and having the option too on the touch pod. There was a guy in there when we arrived sitting down so decided to sit down anyway. The manager was very aggressive and came over demanding that we leave, i explained it was raining outside and we would only be a couple mins and the restaurant didnt close until 10pm so i dont see what the issue is. He would not budge and showed no sympathy at all claiming i was rude at the till which i wasnt at all and it was a lady who gave me the food. We had abit of a arugment and i just called him out for how wrong it was. Eventually we left and ate in the car however i was appalled at how we treated especially after explaining our situation to him.

Don't Bother!

Dreadful. Staff pathetic, scruffy and don't give a s..t! Ordered 2 x 3 chicken strips and chips. Took order to table, chips soggy and cold! Took them back, the guy looked at me in disbelief. The gave us more chips, I tried them at the counter, they were also cold and greasy and soggy. I asked for fresh chips and the guy passed on the order to the 2 people cooking in the back, well actually messing about, singing and generally pratting about. They said why does she want fresh chips? I said because everything you have given me is cold. I waited 2 minutes and surprise, surprise they were cold, greasy and soggy!
