Gilligan's Restaurant — Restaurant in Sketty

Visited Gilligans on a Thursday evening. Lovely welcome with staff taking our coats. Opted for the two courses off the specials board. First course mussels in a cream sauce. It arrived in good time and looked a hearty portion. However, nearly half were empty shells so disappointed. The crusty bread was past it's best too. My main course I opted for chicken in a chorizo and tomato sauce. Nice enough but the chicken was a bit dry. Clearly being kept warm for some time. Veg and saute potatoes lovely. Pleasant surroundings but at 22.95 a head I think a little over...

Last minute decision to go out for food tonight. Called Gilligans and the lady over the phone fitted us in straight away. Such a wide variety of delicious meals available, evening menu and specials board to choose from. Portion sizes are very generous, the food was absolutely beautiful. Service was excellent, no long waits between meals, staff very attentive. Very children friendly, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her 3 course meal, which was less than £10. We enjoyed so much and wanted to try everything on the menu we have booked...

Lovely local restaurant. If you look at the menu online, they're usually just as many extra options on their specials board too. Staff are friendly and attentive. I like that you can take your own wine - and we took prosecco so they got us some flutes which was great. All 3 courses were good that I had - the only minor disappointment is the bread with our soup was actually supermarket seeded sliced bread rather than freshly baked...
