Mr Cod Gourmet Grill — Restaurant in Slough

I visited Mr Cod with my husband and two young children. We ordered the cod fish meal, with curry sauce and peas x2 and cod bites for the kids. I have to say I was very disappointed with what I got. The fish I received was tough and seemed raw, I was unable to cut it with the wooden knife they provided. I raised this with the workers and they accepted it was a dodgy fish and offered to replace it, after I refused being that I was put off the meal they stated they were unable to refund me and that there is an issue with the supplier (why would I want a replacement in that case?). I had no choice but to order something else of the same value. For a place that sell fish and chips I was left feeling ripped off (£30)! Also the curry sauce was awful and not a chippy curry sauce but more a stale indian style curry sauce. I would definitely not recommend this...

Omg I completely agree with the previous review regarding the upset stomach and bloating after eating. I’ve ordered from this place twice this month and I’m really not sure how they are handling their food. Both times I had a really unpleasant experience with the food I ate, and I suspect it was due to bad food handling. After the meal, I immediately began to feel an upset stomach, bloating, and discomfort. The bloating was especially severe, and I felt unusually full, even though the portion size wasn’t large. My stomach was gurgling and cramping for hours, and I couldn’t shake the feeling of being “off.” If you’re considering eating from a place with questionable food handling practices, I would recommend thinking twice. The aftereffects were unpleasant enough to make me hesitant to return, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to risk foodborne illness...

Hi Just to clarify things on the last rating message of MR FRESTON FERNADES. He is lying about everything as at that current time I was in the shop waiting to collect my food. The individual and his friend where very abusive and disrespectful towards the staff. It was 3am in the morning the shop was closing and the two individuals demanded for food, with kind curtesy the staff agreed to serve them, the staff informed them that it was takeaway at that time of the night and plus they where closing up. The two individuals where very drunk and did not want a takeaway but insisted to stay in the shop. Staff asked them on a number occasions politely to leave the shop but they bullied the staff. Then they left the shop by making a lot of verbal abuse. This is the thruth...
