Amazing place! Absolutely worth a visit!

We stopped off here on a journey, completely not expecting to find such a gem! The food and service was so good we made sure to come back then next day on our way home. Both visits left a very impressive impression.

The food is ridiculously delicious, really fresh, super quick and very reasonably priced. You HAVE to try one of the cookies, one of the best cookies I’ve ever had!

The staff were wonderful, they were friendly, helpful, efficient and generally lovely!

Free and plentiful parking, right outside.

Free WiFi

Dogs were welcome (not that we had ours with us, but she would’ve been very happy there if she was)

Toilets were clean and well stocked.

A really lovely, friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Brilliant environmentally conscious and care has been taken with every step to be sure of that.

Thought has gone into every little bit of this this place and it shows. From the chill, non generic, perfect volume music to the ridiculously tasty food, this place really is brilliant and we were so lucky to stumble across it!

I just wish we lived closer as we would be able to visit all the time to be honest.

An independent and well run cafe. An absolutely perfect example of what we need more of!

Thank you for such a brilliant experience! (Twice!)

P.S I wish I’d taken photos but...

Happened upon this place on my way back to London. Noticeably friendly staff made me a macchiatto. Got back in my car and went to drive off, taking my first sip of the coffee. Wow!! 'Taste that!!' I said to my girlfriend. I'm passionate about coffee and am constantly auditioning all kinds of fancy beans on my travels. The coffee that 'Been Coffee' had put in my cup was about the most citrusy, zesty tasting coffee I've ever tasted. I got out my car, went back into the shop and demanded that the staff sell me some of the magic beans that they had used to prepare my drink. It turns out they were equally if not more passionate about coffee than me and were more than happy to send me on my way with a large takeaway cup full of chocolatey, lime citrusy madness in bean form. The staff didn't yet have bags to put beans in but I would suggest to the owners that if you're gonna be using coffee that's that good, you better get prepared to be selling people the magic in it's raw form. Update: My girlfriend said to me the other day whilst drinking a cup that was made from your beans "I think this is my favourite coffee that you've ever bought". I know what she means. Final sad update: I've used all the beans I got from you last week :( I'll be phoning you to see if I can arrange a resupply. Thanks again, guys. Hearty...

Possibly the best cups of coffee I've had. I popped in as the other options for coffe at the services are subway or KFC, and anything usually beats them. I ordered a mocha, fantastic deep coffee flavour, and got to choose the chocolate (real pieces, not syrup or powder). Me and my little girl also ordered a giant!! cinnamon bun and a pastrami, mustard, and gherkin bagel. Both were absolutely fantastic! The coffee was so good I got back to the car, and decided I needed another for the journey, so treated myself to a flat white ( apologies to the conossures, I just prefer with milk)

The staff were also really friendly and knowledgeable and seemed happy to be there, it was a very welcome change from the big chains!

In summary, the coffee and food was fantastic, and the feeling you get from supporting a local and independent establishment is nearly as good.

I'll be back next trip, I'll even make a detour...

I’m so glad I finally visited here, it’s definitely not my last stop! I was looking for a cosy spot with my little one to grab a coffee and a treat, and this place popped up as just a quick 10-minute drive away. The decor is absolutely lovely, the music is super chill, and they even have a little touchscreen for ordering. It reminded me a bit of the coffee chain in London called Black Sheep Coffee (which is a huge compliment!). I went for a caramel latte, and my daughter got a brownie and an orange juice. Everything was delicious, especially the coffee, which was fantastic and a great deal compared to the big coffee shops. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m already dreaming of trying their bagels next time!

It is very in rare nowadays to find a beautifully styled cafe with an exceptional service and atmosphere. This was additionally welcomed as it is placed in an unassuming location in a services near an Ibis Budget Hotel. The cafe has colourful chairs outside to have a latte or light meal, or you can decline on a leather sofa next to the window and people watch. Normal table and chairs with additional bars stood and high table of you prefer. You pay and the till and your meal is brought to you, which is a step above Costa or Starbucks. The staff are friendly, smiley ☺️ and seem very happy. It is a joy to be around. Highly recommend

Driving north or south our navigation usually sends us via Birmingham but this time it sent us via Derby and I’m so glad it did because the usual options are the dull multinational coffee places! It’s better to give your money to smaller independent shops and restaurants. The staff were really friendly and the coffee was really good, not just compared to Costabucks (it’s not hard to get a better coffee trust me!) but good in it’s own right, we didn’t eat but the snacks looked good and the table next to us had a bagel which looked tasty. Next time I head north I’m gonna go this route again, even if it takes a little longer hahaha.
