Cafe Asia — Restaurant in South Hams

Just had a takeaway delivered, BBQ ribs, Sweet and sour chicken balls, Chicken Chow mein (Dry style), Egg fried Rice, chips, prawn crackers, Chicken and sweetcorn soup. Can't fault it, delivered in their own van so easy for me to spot them from our holiday cottage. Soup still piping hot, thick soup, plenty of chicken in there and bursting with sweetcorn, Ribs very nice, a thick sauce which my wife and daughter scraped the container clean - Ribs fell off the bone so just how we like them. Chow mein was just how I like it, a dry version i.e no sauce and it's always one of my favorite. The Chicken balls were MASSIVE ! the sweet and sour sauce quite different to our local chinese but very similar to how I make it myself so I enjoyed the sauce very much. For 3 of us we couldn't eat it all, it was delivered in a thermal bag so still as hot as the moment it was cooked - highly recommend to everyone. Disgusting and undercooked. Get a new chef as food is not fresh and is precooked then reheated. Not fresh as they claim on menu's. Don't order as your liable to get food poisoning. Staff just the same as complain on phone they get gobby and put phone down. If they ever speak to my daughter like they did again i will go down there myself and spark em out. If uou want food poisoning then order from them otherwise don't as only fit for the bin. And that's all its fit for the Bin. Food was okay, we regularly visit Thai restaurants and because this is balancing between some dishes 'Chinese' and some Thai it wasn't to as high as standard as a Thai only restaurant. Service was okay- wasn't that busy in the restaurant but we were forgotten about for table check after receiving our meals. In fairness when we did have an issue with one of the meals after the meal was done it was rectified. The manager was very professional in his dealing with this.
