Coffee#1 Totnes — Restaurant in South Hams

Nice day out in Totnes, rounded off with a cake and coffee, however the coffee was very poor ( Just warm, Stewed. Filtered and stored in the flask's on the counter ) and well past its use by time... A staff member must have seen the expression on my face when I tasted the coffee and approached me and changed my coffee for a fresh brew. Great staff and very helpful if you have a coffee related question. The only problem is you can only have your dog with you if you can get it up the stairs to the upper floor, bit of a task with a very old boy that was returned to the car as he could not climb the stairs. This is money opportunity lost for the shop because the dog always has a treat purchased for him when we eat. That extra money lost due to the stairs...

Visited in August party of 6 incuding grand kids aged 2 and 4 all of the party had beverages and cake. Hideous experience grumpy service paper cups which were lightweight so knocked over had to pay for another which was for the 4 year old very surly service and had to clear up the spill. Embarrassed that Bristol based family had to experience this shoddy outing. We visited the chain in Bristol a few days later Victoria Square this was completely different charming delightful staff and porcelain cups a tale of two cities we will not be returning to the lack lustre Totnes establishment any time soon my son in law is an ardent fan of the chain but sadly not the totnes outlet...

Rudest barista ever!! She tried to give me the wrong drink and said “well that’s what we have on the till, an iced latte 🙄”, in the rudest tone and then she said I would have to pay extra if I wanted the drink I actually ordered. She made me feel like it was my fault or like I’m stupid! I just accepted the incorrect drink and left because of the awful customer service. I then spoke to some people I knew outside and they have had the same rude encounters with this woman. Also my vegan friend was also given a dairy drink when she specifically said oat milk, but luckily the very nice male barista replaced without a fuss! The whole experience was still the worst ive...
